Twenty Seven

Chapter Twenty Seven (Foxy)

I wake up that night, at 11 pm.

I feel exhausted after the trip to find Mangle, but I know that I need to investigate that night guard.

My mind keeps replaying my conversation with Mangle, beginning to end. Every word, sentence.

I haven't told Freddy. Chances are, he'd asleep. I could tell Chica... no. She's too busy getting over her ordeal.

I can't tell Bonnie. He's helping BB look after the Marionette. And Gold is out of the question - he's still trying to fix those retched human suits of his.

So I've no one to talk to about it.

12 pm rolls in and I set out to find the night guard. My metal heart pounds as I feel the familiar urge to kill, creep up my spine.

I creep down the hall, my jaws opening and drinking in the scent of the night guard. He smells weird.

Each step I take, I want to leap down the hall and rip the head off the guard. I get nearly to the end, when he flashes the light.

Black and white flashes before my eyes, and I rapidly blink to make it go away. When I come back to reality, I find myself staring at the night guard, who has a purple outfit and huge grin.

A growl rises in the back of my throat, and then I notice the glint of a knife and my throat closes up. Before I can do anything, he disappears.

I itch to run and tell someone, but I feel paralyzed. So I stay and stare at the spot where he'd been previously.

With a shake of my head, I turn and go back to the Cove, sure that it was my imagination.

I wake up again in the morning, hearing the screams and shrieks of excited children.

I look around, confused, before remembering that I'm still at Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria.

I stand and head to the dining area, my legs shaking after the night before. I see Freddy, Bonnie and Chica performing again, as normal, though they look distant and subdued.

Kids are playing with Marionette and BB is grinning as usual as kids take balloons.

Freddy and the gang get off stage and they start heading towards me when Chica's eyes grow wide, Freddy starts shaking and Bonnie gapes.

I turn and my mouth drops open, my eyes widening and the smell of blood wafting towards me.

I might actually manage to get nearly all the chapters done today, depending!
