Chapter Twenty Five (Foxy)

We turn and face Drusilla, who's looking furious.

"What's wrong?" I ask, confused at her sudden rage.

"What's wrong?" Drusilla's voice was shaking with rage, her lip trembling and her body quivering. "You haven't even told me what's happening!"

"Well..." I glance to Freddy, who shrugs. Chica's standing by his side, staring between us, puzzled.

"I'm you sister!" Drusilla shot. "You should trust me with you life!"

"I do trust you." I tried to reassure her. But she wasn't taking any of it - she was in too much anger to acknowledge the statement.

"I tell you everything, but what do I get in return?" She spat, her arms crossed. I felt bad, then. She was my sister, after all. "I get no information, nothing!"

"I'm sorry, okay?" I offer. "We need to get back, and something's happening, we've lost Mangle and-"

Freddy has straightened up, and is hurrying out of the door with Chica. I shoot a glance at Drusilla, hating myself for what I am about to do.

"Freddy, wait up!" I sprint after him, and just before I get out of the door, I hear Drusilla throw something that hits the wall beside me. I don't look back, just run.

"Freddy!" I breath as I catch up to him, panting. "Why did you run off like that?" I glance at Chica, who's shaking and standing near Freddy.

"I thought I heard something." Freddy shrugged. I shook my head, and then felt a sharp sting of pain in my neck.

I turn my head and stare down at a piece of glass embedded in the skin of my human suit neck. How I feel the pain, I'm not sure. All I know is that Gold did a dang good job.

"What is it?" Freddy asked. "What are you staring at?"

I turn back to face him. "Drusilla threw something at me. Glass, see." I point to the glass stuck in my neck.

Freddy shakes his head and turns back to Chica. "Chica, do you remember the way back?"

"You can stop treating me like a baby, y'know." Chica said dryly. I've never, ever heard her sound so bitter. She's usually happy-go-lucky.

"Well, do you?" Freddy urges. Chica shrugs and looks around at the surroundings.

"This way." She points through the woods that I remember. Freddy nods and we start along the trail back to the pizzeria.

I stare in shock and amazement as Mangle steps out, glancing from side to side. Her red hair is a mess, as if she'd been dragged through bushes.

"What happened?" I ask, my eyes wide. "Where did you go?"

Mangle glances at Gold, who grins. "Did Lil' Miss Princess get a bit of mud on her human suit?" He teases.

I wince. I can already tell that Mangle's getting angry; her eyes are glittering, every muscle in her body tense, and I get ready to step in front of Mangle, to stop her clawing the human suit off Gold.

"No, I was busy." Mangle says hesitantly. She's holding something back from us. For a moment I wonder what had happened to Foxy and Freddy and Chica.

"Lets get back. " I say, nodding to the pizzeria.
