CHAPTER SIXTY-NINE
ADRENALINE & SECRETS.When her ears caught the noise of a familiar flutter of wings hovering around in the air, she knew that she was probably going to be tired as hell— physically, mentally, or just both— by the end of the interaction.
"Oh, what was that back there?" (Y/N) heard the voice even before the person landed on the pavement. She let out a sigh to restrain herself from punching the annoying man.
A few seconds later, a certain winged-hero settled down in front of her, wings flapping for a brief moment before it rested on his back. "Is that your boyfriend? Damn, I might report to Number Two about this," he teased, a smug smirk gracing his face.
"Good Lord, help me..." The UA student mumbled, pressing a palm against her forehead for a second before staring at him, totally unimpressed. "You didn't answer my question. Why are you here?"
"What? Don't look at me like that!" Hawks exclaimed defensively, putting his hands up in the same manner making the younger roll her eyes. "I'm not stalking 'ya, what do you think of me? Your father actually called me in for something and I just happened to pass by here."
"Ah," (Y/N) nodded in understanding. "So you're an errand boy now?"
The blonde's lips almost pulled into a frown but, as if a light bulb went off on his head, it instantly went away and it was replaced by a look of cockiness. "Hey, kid, you better watch who you're teasing 'cause I just saw you being all touchy-feely with that guy back there and I'm sure Number Two won't be happy."
Not even the sligthest affected by the borderline blackmail, she scoffed. "And he won't be happy either if he found out that you tried to get me in to a night club."
"I—!" He was taken aback for a moment, the littlest bit of embarrassment coating his insides when he remembered that she saw him at such a state, but he regained composure very quickly. "Yeah? And he won't be happy when I tell him that you sneaked out of the dorms in the middle of the night."
(Y/N) was silent for a moment as her eyes just stared and the Number Three Pro almost reveled in his quick victory when the UA student pulled out her phone, quietly tapping away on it before she showed him a video that made his jaw drop.
The video contained of him singing obnoxiously, him chugging mugs and mugs of beer, him bumping into a door and wrecking it in the process and basically— just pure drunken chaos.
"Shut up or I'm going to send this to the media," she said nonchalantly, face extremely blank as usual, dodging her hand multiple times in an effortless manner when the man tried to swipe her phone away.
"Oh come on! This is not fair!" Hawks complained. "I accompanied you during your tough and dark times and this is how you repay me?"
"I didn't force— What the...?! Get back here, you pigeon!"
