Chapter 15: Birthday Present

"Reggie wake up." James said quietly, shaking his boyfriend.

"What time is it?" Regulus yawned, rubbing his eyes.

"11:00 AM. We have to get this place packed up." James responded. "Well let's go see what downstairs looks like."

"Oh god. I bet you that Remus is passed out on a table and so is Barty. Also that Peter is throwing up in the bathroom, Sirius is passed out on floor, Pandora is packing upstairs in her room with Mary, Dorcas and Marlene are making out, Narcissa is passed out on the stairs, Sage is reading on the couch, and Lily is drinking tea and cooking breakfast in the kitchen." Regulus predicted.

"Okay I bet you ten dollars that Barty is passed out on the stairs, Sirius and Remus are cuddled up on the coach, Peter is throwing up, Dorcas and Marlene are upstairs in their bed, Pandora and Sage are reading, Mary is packing, and Narcissa is making at breakfast well Lily drinks her tea."

When they got downstairs everything Regulus said was correct, James's mouth fell open. "Pay up love." Regulus smirked.

"Fuck you." James said, mad that he lost.

Remus, Sirius, Regulus, and James arrived at The Black Mansion. Regulus and Sirius quickly ran inside and grabbed their stuff. They got caught by their parents, but got away and quickly ran to their boyfriends. The four ran down around the block and stopped. After that they parted ways, Sirius and Remus going to the Lupin house and James and Regulus going to the Potter Mansion.

The Potter Mansion had changed a little since the last time Regulus saw it, but it was still beautiful and felt safe to be in. He greeted Euphemia and Fleamont and played with James's dog champ before the boys made their way upstairs.

"Okay Regulus are you ready to see your surprise." James asked and Regulus nodded with a smile on his face. James opened the door and the first thing Regulus saw was a puppy sitting on the bed and facing the door.

Regulus's mouth fell open and he let go of his boyfriends hand, running over to the puppy and picking it up. The puppy started panting happily when Regulus scratched behind it's ear. "It's a girl." James stated walking over to them.

"She is so cute. I love her so much thank you!!" Regulus said, setting her back down on the bed and kissing James passionately on the lips. Regulus had his arms wrapped around James's neck and James's hands were on the blacks waist, James could feel Regulus smiling against the kiss. They stayed like that for a decent time.

"What are you going to name her?" James asked after they had both pulled away. Regulus looked at the puppy and thought about it for a moment. "Willow?" James suggested, the younger one looked away from him and frowned as he fought back tears.

"Babe what's wrong?" James frowned, quickly realizing he triggered a bad memory. Regulus hugged him and started crying.

"I had a sister named Willow. She got terribly sick when she was 5 and passed away. I just miss her because she was my best friend and is two years younger than me, but I'll name her Willow." Regulus explained, wiping away his tears and taking a picture to send to the group chat.
