UNIVERSE: All For The Game // Nora Sakavic"Welcome to ESPN's new livestream: Exy Live! I'm your host, Corey Miller. Joining me today, from their own homes, are Kevin Day and Neil Josten; Palmetto State University's Striker Line!" The host announced, resulting in many comments scrolling up the side of Neil's computer.
From the view Neil had, three videos were displayed on his screen; one showed their host, one was Kevin, and the other was of himself. Neil was seated on the black leather couch of his living room, King curled up on one end while Sir was in the other room with Andrew. Neil and Andrew had gotten their own apartment last year, but no one except the team knew that.
"How are you boys doing today?" Corey asked as Kevin smiled, which the team always made fun of him for; it was his interview smile.
"Doing well," Kevin reported as Neil nodded in agreement. No matter how hard Neil tried, he wasn't as good at interviews as Kevin was.
"That's good to hear! Now, I have some questions for you boys that the fans have been requesting," Corey began as the two boys nodded, making themselves comfortable in order to answer the questions.
"For Neil: can you play any other positions or are you exclusively a striker? This has been a rather popular question since we watched you play at Evermore during finals last year. If I recall correctly, you were playing as a backliner," The host asked as Neil darted a look over at Kevin.
"On my little league team, I played defensive line, therefore there's a few things that I recall from my time playing that position. At the end of last year, we were desperate and Coach let me try," Neil summarized, leaving out many of the horrible details about his little league team and exactly how desperate they'd been due to the Ravens' ruthlessness.
"You learn something new every day!" Corey spoke with amazement in his tone as Neil nodded.
"Now, for the famous Kevin Day: are you still in contact with Coach Moriyama?" Corey questioned as Kevin inhaled a sharp breath. Somehow, miraculously, Kevin managed to keep himself together. Probably because he knew that Riko was dead, therefore he couldn't hurt him.
"No, I'm not in contact with their family anymore," Kevin explained as Neil looked down, both of them knowing that was a lie. They were both still sending money to the Yakuza through Ichirou Moriyama. After all, they'd promised to.
"Wait, who is that?" The interviewer questioned, resulting in confusion consuming Neil. Corey was inspecting one of their backgrounds, so Neil assumed that it was Kevin's. However, he was incorrect.
Neil turned, seeing Andrew Minyard standing in the kitchen behind the couch. Andrew wasn't paying any attention to his boyfriend, instead he was preparing a sandwich and glaring at Sir, who was meowing for attention. Andrew huffed, looking down at the cat and dropping some deli turkey on the ground for the cat to eat.
"Are you feeding him part of your sandwich?" Neil questioned, capturing Andrew's attention.
"Do you have any other ideas on how to get him to shut up?" Andrew questioned as Neil rolled his eyes.
"He's begging. You can't let him eat from the table, because then he'll think he can do it all the time," Neil explained as Andrew blankly stared back at him.
"I let you eat from the table, don't I?" Andrew retorted, fighting back a small smirk. Neil grinned, laughing weakly at that response.
"Is that one of the twins?" Corey questioned, resulting in Neil turning back towards his interview.
