Shiloh tugged at the sleeve of her hoodie as she walked alongside the red headed woman who'd given her a home. "Who we meeting?" She whispered. It was too sunny to wrap herself in shadows without more effort than she could easily sustain, or dragging attention to herself, which was the opposite of what she wanted.

The little girl on Nat's other side didn't seem to share her concern. She wore a bright red peplum jacket and her daddy's golden sunglasses. They were too big for her, causing her to push them repeatedly up on her nose. "We're gettin more help, right auntie Nat?"

"That's right," she smiled. "We're meeting friends. One said he thought he could help look for Tony...the other knows a little something about what you've been through..."

The girl frowned and glanced down. "My powers? How to use them?"

"Bein used," Bucky corrected. "Why are we out here? What are you wearing?" He looked Natasha up and down with a frown.

She laughed at his expression and went up on point in her sneakers, as if showing them off from every angle. "Running clothes, Bucky. We're going running."

Addy's little face scrunched up immediately. "You said we were goin to the park?"

"I'm not a runner. Do i look like a runner?" Bucky scowled. "I lift weights, I smash things, I do not run. If I'm running, there's some bad shit behind us and you should run too. Of course, you won't keep up...but you should try..."

Addy giggled. "If we gotta run can I be the stuff he lifts?"

"Up to you two," she shrugged as she began stretching. "He'll be here any minute. I think you remember Cap's other friend, right?"

"Oh, my, squash!" Addy gasped, bouncing on her toes as her short curls danced around her ears. "Did you bring red wing?!"

She might not have any tech experience herself but you didn't exist around Tony Stark, especially as his daughter, without developing an appreciation for such things.

The man grinned brightly, his smile made all the more brilliant the way his eyes lit up with it. "See, this is the kinda appreciation my partner deserves. You takin notes, cyborg?"

Bucky turned slowly to scowl at the man. He bent, somehow managing to maintain his menacing aura as he lifted Addie onto his back. "Keep up," he grumbled and took off amidst Addy's excited laughter.

"If he starts lapping me like that other ass hole..." Sam began as they headed off.

"On your right," Bucky called out.

Addy shrieked with laughter as they flew past.

Sam's eyes narrowed. "Nineteen forties super soldier bastards," he huffed.

Natasha snicker. "Come on, Shiloh."

"If we're running, I better get lunch," the girl huffed as she hurried along beside her. The air hit her short, dark, hair as her sneakers slapped the pavement.

Nat stopped her after only a few yards. "Hey, you're gonna hurt yourself running this way. Straight, alright? You only need to lean forward slightly if you are all out sprinting. We want our chest expanding to ease airflow. So, spine straight, head forward. You ever heard the expression toe ball heel?"

"Miss Natasha, if you took me in with dreams of training a track star you might wanna keep lookin for strays...in fight or flight? I hide..."

Natasha tilted her head to capture the girl's gaze. She could hear the boys, Sam pretending he wasn't running at the top speed he could manage, Bucky taunting him while Addie giggled in a very Tony like manner. "Listen to me, мое солнце...I know a lot of people have ulterior motives, so I won't bother trying to convince you otherwise...but you're eventually going to need someone to trust...I know how that is. So I'm offering to be that person..."

"I can't keep up with them..." Shiloh mumbled, rather than acknowledge Natasha's words. "And...I don't fit with your people...that little girl. She doesn't have a clue what life is really like. Its all open to her. Sunshine and rainbows..."

"No...it's not," she shook her head firmly. "And it isn't a competition. Trauma isn't a competition. And until you know a person's story, you can't know the trauma they are carrying...we should walk through our lives assuming that everyone around us has as rich and varied a life as our own...including the pain..."

"Fine. I can tell when someone is telling me they can't tell me something..." Shiloh whispered. "Let's just get this over with, alright? We still got little girl's dad to find, right?"

"You don't know anything?" Sam frowned when they settled at the little bistro tables at the caffe nearest the park. He lifted his sweet tea and added several more packets of sugar. Once you crossed the Mississippi it was like anything sweet or spicy had fled the country. He swirled his straw, ice tinkling in the glass, and watched the sugar crystals settle at the bottom.

"Do you need to do that?" Bucky snapped.

Sam smirked and clinked a little more for good measure. "Yes. I do. Anyway, as I was saying...I know it's a small world but searching the whole of it for two guys makes it a hell of a lot bigger..."

"But you'll try, right?" Addie asked desperately.

Those big, hopeful brown eyes made him think of AJ and Cass. "We're gonna look, kiddo," he promised immediately. "But a starting point would be nice..."

"I can tell you where we started, and where the suit went radio silence, but you know how fast the suit could fly...we're guessing they flew North..."

Sam rubbed the inner corners of his eyes and glanced at Bucky. "You up for this, old man?"

Bucky snorted. "More than you. If no one's calling to have us collect the little troublemakers then they probably didn't land anywhere habitated. Well...either that or they flew into unfriendly territory..."

Natasha's hand landed on Addy's arm. "Well until we know for sure we're going to assume they are together in one piece..." she replied firmly, mostly for Addy's benefit.

"And you'll bring daddy back?"

"We'll do our best, Addy," Sam promised.
