Side-By-Siding {DreamNotNap}

side by side ride but sapnap gets scared 

lol imagine portraying your fear onto Sapnap lol couldn't be me

If u don't know what a side by side is look it up (its like an off-roading vehicle essentially)

Its been so long since i've written, i want to write but i have no inspiration or motivation :/

'Hey, we should go side-by-siding' Dream said casually to his boyfriends, scrolling through Twitter absentmindedly.

'I'm down, but where are we getting a side by side from? And who's driving?' George said, taking interest in the suggestion of the blonde. 

'My uncle's brother in law's son has one, I could borrow it from him, and I'd drive. I've driven one before, it's easy.' Dream said reassuringly, but George was unconvinced. 

'Your uncle's who what now?' Sapnap piped up, finally joining the conversation.

'Whatever, it's fine. He lives actually, twenty minutes down the road, I'll text him and ask.'

Dream opened the messages app, scrolling through plenty contacts.  

George seemed a bit worried about Dream driving it, he'd seen how reckless the taller man was with just a car, but other than that, he was excited.

Sapnap, on the other hand, was worried. Not about Dream's driving, more about actually going side-by-siding. He had gone side-by-siding once, when he was like seven or eight, he'd gone with his step mom's brother, and he hated it. He didn't know why, but he hated the ride, hated going on these risky trails, always having a fear they would flip, or land in a ditch;  he especially hated the puddles. 

Oh, the puddles. Sapnap was someone who didn't mind getting dirty, he once rolled in mud and then ate it. So he was confused as why getting stuck in a mud puddle was something that absolutely terrified him. 

Maybe it was that he couldn't tell how deep the puddle was, and since one of his reoccurring nightmares was watch his boyfriends drown in puddles, or that he once got stuck in quicksand and he thought he was going to die, but those were absurd reasons to be scared of driving through puddles.

He shook the thoughts off, and took a deep breath. He wouldn't be scared this time, it was years ago when Sapnap last went on a side by side, so surely this time would be different. 

Right?

After a few minutes of sitting in a comfortable silence, Dream stood up, announcing that his uncle's brother in laws' son was letting them borrow the side by side, and was going to go pick it up. 

He kissed his two boyfriends goodbye, grabbing his keys and shoes, then they heard a front door creak open, and slam shut. 

'Have you ever been on a side-by-side before, Sap?' George asked, turning his attention to the younger as he turned off his phone. 

Sapnap looked up, a bit startled from his voice, 'Uh, yeah, when I was like seven or eight.'

'oh cool! you never told us that'

Sapnap shrugged

'didn't really think it was important, I dunno'

'So, what'll we need to bring? I don't want to over pack, but don't wanna under pack either. How long d'you think we'll be gone?' George got up, starting to freak out.

'Babe, c'mon, chill out. It depends how long we're gone for, I'd say bring a small snack and some water. It's summer right now, so the trails will be quite dusty. Bring one of those things to cover your mouth and nose, maybe goggles if you want? That's up to you.'
