"Besties, let's have a sleepover at my place this weekend" Gret exclaimed while drinking her frappe. "I have the whole house to myself. Parents are out of town and lil bro will be spending the night with his friends."
It's Thursday afternoon and school finished an hour ago. The girls decided to hangout at our cafe to talk about stuff especially the fact Mau's debut is fast approaching.
"Mom and I will plan out my debut party. Sorry" Mau rejected.
"Lukas and i will be having a date the whole weekend." Mara smiled softly
"I'm going to binge watch" I sipped on my Java Chip
"Can't. My mother in law wants me to fit more dresses" Ghel, who was busy typing something on her laptop, said with a monotonous voice.
"I thought the final pick was the one with the long sleeve?" Mara joined in
"I thought so as well." She sighed still not taking her eyes off the screen " Yet both mothers think I deserve a grand dress. Who cares about whether the wedding dress is expensive or not. It's their money not mine"
Ghel's engagement got leaked days after i tried to cover it up. I already expected this because there were a lot of people who were in that party. Not long after, the girls heard about the rumour and demanded clarification. Ghel told them everything and their reaction were same as mine. They were mad.
Ghel started to explain everything and I noticed ,while hearing her explanation, she left out a lot of details from the one she told me that night on her engagement party. Nevertheless, I'm glad she didn't leave out the fact the marriage is arranged.
Mau and Mara were so furious that they were planning to storm inside the Torrez residence and let Ghel's father reconsider. Gret had to call Lukas to calm them both. I, on the other hand, was hoping they'd continue their plan.
That happened two weeks ago. So it has been two weeks since I had a talk with Nicholas about Eclise.
"I always thought Gret will be the first one to get married" Mau spoke randomly. That statement made Gret glare at her.
"Why? Because I'm the prettiest here?" Gret barked at her
"No" Mau leaned against her chair comfortably "Because your love expertise makes you want to rush things"
"I do not" Gret exclaimed.
Mau grabbed something on the table and presented it in front of us. "Then who's this?"
It was Gret's phone showing an incoming call by someone she nicknamed 'Dulzura'.
