(George)

He woke up to the beep of a heart monitor.

George couldn't remember why he was in the hospital or how he got there but, he remembered his world going dark and thinking 'this is the end'.

His body ached but not even close to as bad as his head. It wasn't the top of his head but his forehead. And nose and eyes.

It wasn't until his vision focused he realized the room was black and white except for the occasional blues and yellow.

"Doctor!" George frantically yelled "DOCTOR"

A doctor came running in but he was gray except for the blue clothes.

"I- I can't see colours! I can see blue and yellow but everything's gray and black and white!!!!" George quickly said.
"Calm down George. In your crash, you hit your head which caused colour blindness. You have Deuteranopia also known as red, green colour blindness. You see green, red, and orange as a gross yellow colour. Purple you see as blue because you can't see the red in it."

George stared wide eyed at the doctor taking everything in.

"When will this go away?!"
"Never, unfortunately"
"SO ILL BE COLOURBLIND FOREVER?!" George yelled.
"Yes"

The thought of never seeing colour again hurt George. He wouldn't be able to watch a sunset ever again.

He could picture a colourful sunset in his mind but knew as the years go on, it will slowly fade away.

He would never be able to see the flowers at the tree where he hangs out.

Memories of the gorgeous purple and red and pink flowers flooded Georges mind.

"IS HE OK?!" Dream said racing into the room.

George would never get to see Dream's beautiful forest green eyes ever again.

"Gogy oh thank god" Dream said running over the the bed and hugging George.
"Dream" George started "I'm never going to be able to watch the sunset again"
"What do you mean" Dream said stepping back.
"When your friend hit his head in the crash, it caused him to go colourblind. The colour blindness he has is Deuteranopia or red, green colour blindness. He really only sees everything as yellow, blue, gray, white, or black."
"And I'll be like this forever" George sighed

Dreams face turned pale. He was probably thinking about what George was. How George will never see colour ever again.

"Ok..." Dream drifted off "when will he be able to go home?"
"Well, he has a concussion, a broken ankle from twisting it wrong at impact, and is colourblind so that will take time to get used to. He will probably need to stay with you or a family member until he at least recovers from his concussion."
"How long will that be" Dream asked
"If he gets taken care of well and gets lots of rest, he should be recovered from the concussion at the most two weeks"

Dream looked at George.

"Are you ok staying with me for a while?"
"Yea I suppose you would take better care of me than Sapnap. He would be starting the house on fire just trying to make soup." George laughed
"Yea you're not wrong"
"So will he be staying with you, sir?" The doctor asked.
"Yes. Sorry to ask this again but how long will he be staying in the hospital"
"Sorry, I don't think I answered that before, about a day. Tomorrow at noon he will be done with the medicine we have to give him and the tests."

Dream nodded at the doctor.

"Can our friends come in here"
"Yes but loud noises can hurt George's head. That won't last long. It should be gone by the time his concussion is gone."
"And how will we know that"
"George has an appointment scheduled for two weeks from now to get his head looked at. Another thing I forgot to mention is that he cannot drive until his ankle is completely healed. That should take at least six weeks. In about a month, he will have an appointment to get his ankle checked. If it looks like it will be healed in six weeks, then the doctor will schedule an appointment for two weeks from when you go and see him. If not, he will schedule an appointment for a month from when you see him and it should be healed by then."

"So he can go home on his own when he has a broken ankle still." Dream asked
"Yes but does he had stairs in his house?"
"Yes"
"Ok just work with him on using stairs and you'll have to get things from the store for him."
"I can do that" Dream said
"Alright! Now should I go get your friends?"
"Yes please"
"Ok see ya later George" the doctor waved
"Bye" George said

When it was just them George looked at Dream.

"I know this is weird and crap but, I think the saddest thing about the colour blindness is that... I cant see your eyes" George said

Dream jumped back in surprise and blushed.

"That was random" he nervously laughed
"Yea" George laughed back.

They stopped laughing and George looked out the hospital window.

Outside everything was yellow, blue, and gray. It was disgusting.

The yellow he could see was like a gross brown yellow you see on rotten bananas. He remembered when he was little, he wouldn't even touch the disgusting brown yellow crayons. They were barely used for everyone thought they were ugly.

Seeing blue was nice though because he lived by an ocean. He also really loved the ocean so he's lucky to see blue.

Since it's really the only colour he can see, it will probably become his favorite.

Without colour, the world is so- depressing.

"George can I ask you a question" Dream said interrupting the comfortable silence.
"Sure" George said.
"Why were there blue flowers with the shattered glass...

just like the one I gave you"
