(Dream)
He leaned against the counter staring out the kitchen window.
He knew it was hard for George to accept the fact he's colourblind but why did he break down in public. George has always been the strong type. The one who shows no emotion. And with the past he's had, why is being colourblind the worst thing that's happened.
Dream gets that it must be horrible to go from seeing colour then only being able to see two but, George watched his mother die, he should be strong.
'No no no' Dream thought 'It's not ok for me to say he should be strong. Maybe this was his breaking point. I just need to be there for him and keep him happy'
"Dream?" A small voice in the distance said.
Dream squinted his eyes to try and see who it obviously was but the darkness was too strong.
George slowly limped into the light. His hair was fluffy and messy and his eyes were barely open. He was wearing an older shirt and sweatpants. His hands were struggling to hold him up on the crutches for he was ever so slightly awake.
"What's wrong Gogy?" Dream asked turning around and going over to him. George sat down in one of the chairs.
"I should be asking you that" George said looking up at Dream "I just wanted some water"
"I'll get you some" Dream replied hurrying over to the sink. He grabbed a glass and started filling it up before continuing "And I couldn't sleep"He carried the glass of water to George and handed it to him. Dream leaned on the counter across from George.
"Whys that" George asked
"I-" Dream stopped. He didn't want to upset George by saying anything wrong but what was he gonna say. "I don't really know. Just a lot on my mind I guess"
"What's on your mind" George asked. Dream looked at George before turning away to look out the window.
"Come on Dream you can tell me anything"
"Oh yeah?" Dream laughed hoping this would help him change the subject. "Well then... I'm sorry for dropping your toothbrush in the toilet and setting it back without cleaning it."George just looked at Dream knowing he wasn't serious.
"I'm confused" Dream finally admitted.
"Whys that?" George pushed
"I don't get why I upset you so much today" Dream sighed. George's face changed instantly almost becoming angry.
"What do you mean" George shook his head.
"George I made you fucking cry- in public"
"I know-" George said looking away embarrassed.Dream stopped talking for he understood George's facial reaction.
(George)
"I just don't get it though. You've had such and hard past life- why does becoming colourblind hurt you the most" Dream asked. George looked up at Dream. Why would he bring up his past life? George was pissed.
"Maybe because nature and the colourful world were some of the only things keeping me happy! And now I cant see it!"
"George you watched your mum die and found your father dead! How did that not hurt?"
"It did Dream! You know, how FUCKING DARE YOU! HOW FUCKING DARE YOU BRING UP MY PAST LIFE, WHICH WAS HELL, AND SAY I DIDN'T CARE ABOUT MY PARENTS DEATHS! HOW! FUCKING! DARE! YOU!" George snapped. He grabbed his crutches and hurried off to the bedroom leaving Dream in the dark.
George's eyes filled with tears. Since when does Dream bring up George's past? Since when does he think he doesn't care about his parents death?
What was wrong with him?
Tomorrow would be hard.
Every time he sees Dream, he's gonna feel uncomfortable.
Every time they try to talk it will be heated.
Every interaction with each other will be full of rage and guilt.
Waiting for the other person to say something first.
George climbed into bed. He grabbed the blankets and pulled them over his head.
George shut his eyes and drifted off to sleep.
He startled awake to the knocking on his door.
"Come in" he said still waking up.
"I made you pancakes to apologize" Dream did a small side smile at George asking for forgiveness.
"Do they have whipped cream on them?" George asked.
"Yea-" Dream hesitated
"Then yea I forgive you"
"Thank you!" Dream smiled walking over to George and handing him the breakfast."I wasn't thinking last night and it all came out not the way I wanted it to"
"Trust me I know" George said taking a bite of pancake "Not bad" he said.
"Thanks! And yea, I'm really sorry" Dream said looking at George.
"I forgive you" George smiled. Dream smiled back before walking out of the bedroom.George finished the delicious breakfast and checked his phone.
The happy pills have arrived.
He quickly grabbed his crutches and raced to the front door.
The package was sitting right there on the ground.
He quickly picked it up and looked around for Dream. He wasn't anywhere in sight so George "ran" to the bedroom.
He locked the door and opened the packaging.
The box was yellow with smiley faces on it.
George looked around for a good place to him them. His pillow would not be a good choice since Dream does the sheets. In the closet wouldn't be good because Dream folds and puts away George's clothes.
George finally decided on inside of a tissue box.
He wasn't going to take one right now because he needed to read up on them more.
George grabbed the plate and went to hurry out of the room but Dream was standing right there.
"Dream?"
