We had gone back to our rooms after the trial. The situation we were in was terrifying, and bloody, and disgusting.

I got out of my bed to go to breakfast in the morning. Kristen hadn't made anything this morning. I wasn't able to think about food. I just missed Ryan. He died in front of everyone, killed by the snobby scientist, Amos. Even though his murderer is gone, I still can't shake my head away from the fact that he was probably my only friend here so far, and that got cut short.

I mean, who did I have anymore? Vanessa and Micah have each other, Yume and Samuel have become great friends, Zac is trying to get close to Wisteria and, never mind. He just got pepper sprayed.

Jack came over and tapped my shoulder. "Aika?" He began.

"Yeah?" I said.

"I understand you must be devastated about Ryan, and I wanted to know if you wanted to hang out with me, as friends. I know that we have technically done all the investigations together, but I wanted to see if you wanted to be more than just partners, maybe friends?"

"You sound so formal." I chuckled a little. "I can hang out with you sometime, yeah."

"Everyone!" Vix shouted. "I have something to address."

We all gave Vix our attention.

"I would like to teach everyone here how to use a crossbow in my lab after everyone is situated for the day." She began. "I believe we all now must learn to defend ourselves at any time, so I would like each of us to take a crossbow if you would like one. At this point i think we all know anyone is capable of murder so we must proceed with caution."

"But doesn't giving people weapons defeat the purpose of preventing murders?" I asked.

"Think of it this way," Vix started giving us a small analogy. "Imagine somebody threatens a cashier at a grocery store with a knife, and the person next to them has a gun on them. All the person behind them has to do is pull the gun on the attacker, and they will likely back down, and that weapon will have prevented any death."

"I guess that makes sense." Vanessa said, sitting on Micah's lap.

"Ah. Anything to prevent more deaths." Micah said, giving Vanessa a peck on the cheek.

Kristen starts quietly. "I assume everyones wants breakfast?"

"If you want to make some." I said. "You don't have to though. After what happened I'd be worried about trying to cook for everyone."

"I am." She replied. "After Ryan I don't know if I'm comfortable opening my lab to anyone anymore."

"That's understandable." Samuel said, with Yume on his shoulders in a piggyback ride.

Kristen clapped her hands together. "Monokuma?" She shouted.

Right on cue, the bear was behind the group and started talking.

"Yes, miss?" He looked at Kristen.

"I would like a more secure lock for my lab door, as well as a key for the lock." She requested.

"Can do!" He exclaimed. "I will get on installing the lock while you guys are asleep. While i'm here, the 3rd floor is done."

"Who has their labs this time?" Micah asked.

"Vanessa, Samuel, Jack, and Ava." He replied.

"Well I guess we can do without breakfast. I'll take me and Yume upstairs to my lab." Samuel said.

Yume smiled happily on his back, like a little girl being carried by her father.

"I guess I'll check out mine with Micah." Vanessa said.
