Y/n L/n.
That's my name. This is a very normal story of your typical teenage girl who fights along side mutant turtles. Now, where do I begin?
Okay, lets start with a brief description about me:
I've lived in New York since I was 8, I moved from LA after my adopted parents moved to New York. My family died in a fire accident when I was really young, but I didn't remember them so there was nothing I could be sad about. My adopted parents are okay, but they have a lot of business meeting and are almost never around.
My adopted parents can be strange and unusual, they weren't ones to speak normally, they spoke in robot-like way. The kindest thing they ever said to me was 'you were gifted with beauty, so be thankful for it'
When I was 7 my adopted parents signed me up for ninjutsu, they said something about 'when the time comes, you will understand'. I've gotten really good at it and I'm at the top of my class which is something I'm proud of.
Up until recently my adopted parents have home-schooled me, I've only just started going to an actual high school.
Yes, very brief...anyways, I guess I should start when I first met them.

It all begun on my very first day of school. It was any normal high school in New York, one of 12. It was the middle of the year, so I was the only new kid and you know what high school is like.
I barely even got it through the gates before people stopped and stared. They either laughed to their friends or blushed. Funny thing was, it was only the girls who laughed.
I ignored all the whistles and cat calling and made it into the school, less people looked at me, only minor glances. When I reached my locker I heard a whooshing sound and a small black object came flying at me at the corner of my eye. I grabbed it, just in time and looked in the direction it came from.
"Watch it, Casey!" A red head girl said, looking to a boy with a gap in his teeth and a hockey puck.
"Well, I didn't hit anyone, the chick over there caught it" The boy who must be Casey said.
The red headed girl turned around and gave a friendly smile in my direction, her eyes flicking to the black putt in my hand.
"Sorry about him, he gets annoying sometimes" She says kindly. "I'm April"
"Y/n" I say, sticking out my hand. She shakes it.
"I'm Casey, sorry about that. Nice reflexes though, almost better than Rap-"The boy named Casey was about to say something, but he was cut off by April jabbing him in the ribs.
"What class do you have? I can take you there" April offers, her smile not leaving.
"Um..." I look at my new timetable, looking for my first period. "History"
"Ouch, Miss. Hendricks class, good luck with that, I have Science with Mr. Kumar" Casey says, balancing his hockey stick on his shoulders.
"Ignore him, I have history as well, I can take you there" April says, shoving her hand in his face and pushing him away.
"Sure" I say, accepting the offer.
I walk with April down the hallway and make two turns to the left which leads us to a dark green door, around a foot and a half taller than me. April opens the door and lets me inside, to which I silently thank her.
The classroom was filled with kids throwing paper airplanes around, girls chatting in one corner of the room and boys snickering to themselves. April made her way over to some desks; I took the spot next to her.
