Killua as Bakugou (MHA X HxH)

~Chapter 16~

Eri concentrated and her horn shrank a little, the cut healed itself and she clenched her fists, concentrating some more. There's a 10 second time limit, if she doesn't get it within that timefram- her power shut off and she beamed. Killua's eyes went wide. Not only did she shut it off, but she smiled. She smiled! "Gon!" shouted. Gon stopped what he was doing and jogged over as Eri was getting patted on the head while she was still beaming. "what's the- oh my god!" he squealed a little and gave Eri a hug. She hugged him back. "she did it!" suddenly Kessho and Midoria were there as well. "what happened?" Midoria asked. Kessho's eyes shined a little. "s-she's smiling. Eri's smiling!" it took her almost two and a half weeks to get to this point, Eri came over to him with her arms up. "Oni-Chan! I did it!" he lifted her into the air and gave her a hug. "yes you did little blueberry" he said proudly. "what happened? What made her smile?" Gon asked, and he grinned. "she also managed to use and shut off her power within four seconds" Yuki came over and she smiled a little as well, which was actually a rare occurrence. "little sister did a good job" she said, also patting her head. Eri giggled, and Gon took her from him to give her more praise. Killua felt his eyes start to water and he looked away, wiping his eyes. She looks so happy. Finally she looks happy. But this was only the first step, and only one of his three children. Yuki still needed lots of work, Kessho had to learn how to be more open to strangers and how to defend himself. He wiped his eyes again, damn emotions. "Killua?" he glanced over at Midoria, who was looking at him with a worried expression. He shot him a glare. "shut up broccoli hair"

He blinked a few times, "I was just making sure you we-" he growled, "I'm fine!" Killua snapped, crossing his arms and glancing over at the kids, who were lifting weights with Gon again. he paused, then his expression softened. "that was one out of a hundred steps I have to go" he said quietly, smiling a little as he watched Gon encourage the kids with smiles and temping them with candy. "Eri was exposed to trauma from a very young age, she had forgotten how to smile because of that trauma" he said, arms uncrossing. "I see a little bit of me in each of these children" he said softly, Midoria glanced over at him with wide eyes. "no one that young should be subjected to such harshness. Nobody that young should... should be forced to follow a path of someone else's choosing" he said, faltering a little on the last part. No child deserves to be tortured, or locked up and used, or forced to serve other people. He smiled a little again as he watched Kessho Encourage Yuki a bit. "but on top of all that, every child deserves to be happy" he said, then chuckled a little as Eri stumbled a bit, nearly tripping. "lost your balance there blueberry" Killua walked over and she huffed. "it keeps falling over!" he moved her arms and legs a little in a better stance, "try it now" she lifted the weight above her head and giggled. "I'm doing it! I'm gonna be just as strong as Oni-chan one day!" he smiled down at her. Yes you will blueberry.

Being a parent was exhausting. Gon had never even had a sibling before, let alone three. It was easy to manage when it was just Eri because she was small and easy to entertain, but then Kessho came over more often and then they got Yuki. He was now the parent, which meant he had no time to relax. At first he was kind of happy he got to be the mother, but he wasn't expecting this much work. He and Killua hadn't gotten any time alone in weeks, which gave him an idea. He bounced over to Midoria, who had been watching them from afar. "can I ask a favor?" he gave him a smile, "sure I guess" Gon smirked, "can you watch the kids for about an hour? The training session is over in a few minutes and they like to hang out in the relaxation room during that time" he blinked, "sure?" then he seemed to get it and laughed a little. "Oh, alright. I can do that. You must not get much time to relax" we haven't had an actual kiss in so long. And they couldn't just do it in front of the children, that would be wrong. He waited for about three minutes and watched Killua with the kids as he did so. I never thought Killua could get along with kids. I mean, saving an abused child is one thing, but raising multiple kids at once? He saw Yuki glance over at Eri's stance and she copied it, then said something to Kessho and he copied it as well. That made Gon proud, Yuki's observation skills were improving! Kessho was definitely a good influence on her. "Times up, take your pick" Killua said, lifting the 30 KG lid off the reward candy stash. Killua had insisted on making it heavy for some reason, although if the kids were getting stronger than they would be able to open it on their own in due time. Not that any of them would steal. Well, maybe Eri to be honest. her sweet tooth was almost as big as Killua's.
