"Oh! I forgot the snacks" Isadora says as she gets up from her bed. She and Y/n were having a sleepover which they had been planning for months.
Y/n pauses the movie before Isadora dashes out of the room to go downstairs.
The two had been friends for a long time and were pretty comfortable around each other. There was a time where Y/n thought s/he liked Isadora, but just ruled it off as being silly.
It had been almost seven minutes since Isadora had went downstairs and Y/n was starting to get worried. They got off of the bed and pushed the door fully open before creeping out into the hallway.
S/he heard some whispering but it sounded harsh, which made the girl/boy even more interested in what was going on.
Surprisingly, the stairs didn't creak so Y/n was able to watch the scene without being noticed.
"You stole my diary?!" Isadora glared at Quigley.
"U-uhm technically yes." The boy was trying really hard not to face his sister's rage. "But Duncan made me do it!" Quigley defended.
Isadora's eyes snapped towards Duncan who shifted.
"I only did it because he pranked me last time!" Duncan tried to defend himself but it wasn't enough.
Instead of yelling at him like Duncan thought she would, she calmed down.
"Alright, w-what did you read?" Isadora asked her triplet brothers, she sounded nervous.
"Uhm, nothing" Duncan quickly responded. He was still uncomfortable about lying to his sister and eventually gave in. "Just that you have a crush on Y/n"
Y/n, who was still listening from the stairs (very awkwardly might I add), immediately widened their eyes upon Duncan's words.
Isadora goes to shush him until they all hear footsteps, followed by a voice.
"You what?" Y/n asked. S/he knew what Duncan meant, but they didn't know for sure.
All three triplets whipped around in shock.
There was no use playing dumb to the situation now.
"I like you Y/n" Isadora smiled up Y/n. "A lot"
Y/n smiled before coming down the stairs. "I do too"
Perhaps Duncan and Quigley's prank war did have a happy ending.
