Izuku POV:
Why?
Why must he be out for patrol today?
Doesn't he have something better to do?
Like maybe be at home with his husband and his 13 cats and a warm cup of coffee?
No?
Apparently that would be too much to ask for.
Instead here he is sneaking up on me like a panther.
If I didn't know it better I would say he is a cat in nature but let's be honest he is a goddamn caterpillar!
Besides, just because my name means mouse doesn't mean we always have to play cat and mouse. We could just talk for a change.
Well here we go again into a night where we play a nice game of cat and mouse.
I was sitting on the rooftop of an abandoned building close to the edge.
People on the street call me Nezumi. I live in the shadows. No one besides my own teacher Aizawa-sensei has ever faced me. Not even the criminals I take in ever saw my face. I loved using the shadows to my advantage and thanks to that the police department is searching for someone with a shadow manipulation or camouflage quirk.
There is a very thin line between what I am doing and what I learn in school. Heroes are people that are supposed to save people from any kind of danger and yet no one managed to save my mother on that day... It was also the day I decided that there were far too many people out there that need a hero, a person to look up to and a person that is willing to offer them a helping hand.
Nezumi is exactly that and more. I am a vigilante walking on the thin line of heroism and villainy. For all I care, the people I save can be criminals or quirkless like I was and still am when fighting as Nezumi, I would still save them anyways.
Aizawa: *Sigh* Not you again.
It was hard to hear his footsteps but if you are out everyday and doing all kinds of shit, including getting on someone's nerves, then you will quickly learn to feel his presence and hear his very light footsteps.
Me: Oh hello Caterpillar! Shouldn't you be at home and I don't know cuddle with your husband and your 13 cats or even correct all the papers from the last quiz you let your class make.
Let's face it. I wouldn't be talking if I didn't have any kind of voice changer built in my mask. I'm that paranoid.
Aizawa: And how do you know that?
Me: It's not the first time I know things I shouldn't.
Aizawa: That's it, tonight you are coming with me.
Me: Bold of you to assume I would go with you just like this.
Aizawa: Don't make it harder for us both.
Me: Where would the fun be if I don't spice things up?
Aizawa: *sigh* I will ask you one last time.
Me: Ohh you were asking me... Huh and here I thought it was a command.
Aizawa: Come with me and turn yourself in.
Me: Let me think real quick... . Hmmm... tough one... should I or should I not... Nah! I am choosing the second opinion. Besides that isn't asking at all!
It was clear to me that this night would be a long night again but it would be sure fun.
Aizawa: *Sigh* Why do we need to do this nearly every night?
Me: I don't know! Why do you need to go after me every night?
Aizawa: Are you seriously asking this?
Me: It's a valid question though! I never did anything against the law!
Aizawa: You are running around as a vigilante and you tell me you didn't do anything against the law? Quirk usage is against the law. Vigilantism is against the law. Carrying lethal weapons without a license is against the law.
Still never stops me from having such weapons!
Just not with me today....
Me: First. Never used a quirk in any fights. Second I never attacked first meaning it goes as self defense. And third, these weapons are non lethal!
Aizawa: ... hm... sure...
Me: *Sigh* These are glitter bombs and the guns I have are filled with a special bullet that can't hurt people, only paralyze them. That's why I always give you an antidote if I use this gun on a villain that you guys collect later. For the knife...
I took out the knife and pulled the arms from my costume up revealing some old scars that I normally would hide with some makeup. Next I faced the hero and was about to cut over my wrist in order to show him that they are not dangerous at all.
Aizawa: STOP!
Did his shouting stop me?
Nah.
Did he throw his capture weapon around my wrist?
He tried to but I caught it first.
Me: I told you it won't cut.
I then cut over his capture weapon and nothing happened. Next I let go of it and stood up, facing him and cut my wrist open but nothing happened. Only a red line appeared since it was coated in a layer of weak poison. It wasn't lethal either, it would hurt like hell but I was so used to it that I couldn't feel it anymore. This poison was specially designed by me in order to let my victims experience the pain of a real cut but in reality there was none.
Me: See!
Aizawa: Your wrist is red.
Me: Thanks for stating the obvious sherlock!
Aizawa: Is it coated with something?
Me: Yep, just a weak poison!
Aizawa: You freaking kidding me!
Me: Nope but don't worry I am immune to it.
Aizawa: *sigh* Enough you are coming with me now!
Well here we go with our cat and mouse game again!
I let go of his scarf and immediately knew that this night would probably be a long night full of fun!
A/N: This is his vigilante costume:
