Andy POV
I spent all morning nervous about training with the pack, but they were actually nice to me. They asked me to give them lessons, so I agreed, and am teaching training tomorrow... it went better than I expected, and I couldn't be happier.
By the time it ended, I was so full of adrenaline that I decided to run back to the pack house. Alexi and Logan had to go into town for a meeting, so a run will keep me busy.
I hated being away from Logan, it was crazy how much I missed him in just a few hours.
Something is following us! My wolf growled in my head.
How do you know?
I can smell them.
The packhouse isn't far. Pushing my legs, I sped up going as fast as I could towards the pack house. I could see it in the distance, so I pushed harder. I could hear people running on either side of me, they were surrounding me. When I entered the clearing in front of the house, a wolf lunged at me. Before I could shift, I heard a gunshot and felt searing pain shoot through my back as I fell to the ground.
Before the world went black, I heard a voice say, "Got you now, bitch."
"Wake up, bitch." Something hit me across the face...
I opened my eyes to see Connor standing in front of me with a smirk covering his face. After attempting to grab him, I realised I was tied to a chair with barbed wire.
The asshole tied me up, what the fuck is wrong with him?
Whenever I attempted to break free, the wire cut into my skin and started to burn, which caused me to whimper in pain.
"We soaked the wire in wolfsbane, so there is no escape. If you try to shift, the wire will cut through you, killing you." He scoffed at me.
After another attempt, the pain was too intense, I gave up. Connor started laughing at my futile attempts to get free.
He laughed again at me when I screamed, "I'll kill you!"
"You're not going to be doing much of anything."
"What do you want with me?"
"What makes you think I want you."
If not me then who?
Logan...
"He will kill you. He'll rip you in two." I screamed at him. He just glared at me.
"I'm prepared for that don't worry. He can't kill all of us." He said over his shoulder as he left.
I tried to figure out where I was. There wasn't much light, but I could tell the space was tiny, and it smelled like mud and fish. Maybe I was in a fishing cabin. Given that we were in Cornwall, that wasn't very helpful. Crap.
Logan! Logan! He didn't answer my call.
It's no use Doll, we're covered in wolfsbane. It prevents mind linking. I knew she was right, but it still infuriated me.
What are we going to do? I can't break out of this.
You're going to have to use your power again.
Hell no. I can't control it. The last time I tried, I burnt down a building...
You were a pup, but you are not a child anymore. Stop fearing what you are.
I don't even know what I am. How can I fear it?
You have not tried to do it again since that night. You have no idea what we are capable of. If you want to save our mate, you have to try.
She was right, I had never tried using it again. The idea scared the hell out of me, i've already destroyed one pack, there was no way I was risking another.
How? What do I do? I pleaded.
Concentrate. When you are not setting buildings ablaze, there is so much more that can be done, just let go.
When I closed my eyes, I concentrated on the heat I felt the day of the fire, but there was no burning sensation and no flames.
It didn't work! I yelled at my wolf.
Keep trying.
So, I did, I kept trying, for hours until I was exhausted, but still nothing happened.
I couldn't keep my eyes open anymore and I slipped into unconsciousness.
