Andy POV

When I woke, it felt as though I'd been run over by a damn truck, my body aching.

My chest burned, every breath I take made me want to scream, just to release some of the pain building in me.

What the hell happened?

I opened my eyes to see a tube in my arm wires connecting me to a machine, a steady beeping humming in the background.

I'm in a hospital bed.

I can't see much in the room, the lights are out, except for the blinking light on the monitor beside me, but I felt someone moving next to me, and when I tried to move, I felt they were holding my hand.

It was obviously a guys hand by the way they made mine feel tiny, completely engulfed in his.

I tried to take my hand away, but his just grip just got harder. I knew my pulling had made him wake up though, because I felt him move again, a groan leaving his lips.

"Andy? Are you awake?" Logan? What was he doing here?

"Hello." My voice came out as more of a croak, my throat feeling like sandpaper, but he heard me.

"Thank goddess. You scared me. Hold on, I'll get you something to drink for your throat."

He stood up and walked away, a second later the light came on blinding me, making me blink.

"Here, drink this." He told me as he handed me a plastic cup. I drank the water happily; I was so thirsty, thirstier than I've ever been.

When I handed the cup back, I could see his face for the first time. He looked horrible, his eyes dull, his hair a mess, bags under his eyes. He's exhausted.

"Are you okay?"

He laughed, shaking his head. "Am I alright? You're the one who was attacked and you're worried about me?"

"You look like hell." I replied, causing him to laugh even harder.

"I'm fine. How are you? Can you tell me who did this to you?"

"I'm okay, just sore, I don't know who it was though. I was getting something out of the freezer, and they hit me on the back of the head. When I fell to the floor, they hit my face and my chest. But I heard them laughing. I think there were three or four of them. I'm sorry. I tried to open my eyes, but I couldn't."

"Don't you dare apologise; you did nothing wrong. Whoever did this is a coward, and I'm going to kill them." His eyes darkened to a shade of black and I knew he was serious. I knew the anger he was holding back.

"Thank you, for saving me again."

"It's my pleasure Andy." He smiled at me.

"I'm going to let the doctors know you're awake, okay?" I nodded to him, and he left the room, a few minutes later Alexi mind linked me, the sudden intrusion startling me.

Andy? Logan said you were awake, are you okay?

I'm fine.

I was so worried about you little sister. You looked dead. Did you know Logan found you? He broke our front door to get to you. When we got to the hospital, he looked terrified.

He broke our door?

Yeah, it's in pieces. I have no idea how he knew you were hurt though.

He was right, how did he know? How had he known I was even hurt?

Realisation dawned on me as I remembered what I had said before I passed out.
