"Come on Lele!! We're already late!"

Chenle trailed after his best friend, only moving because she was tugging his hand towards Yuna's front door.

"Hey you're the one that insisted on showering and changing four times before we could leave"

She shot him a glare from her spot ahead of him, quickly stepping into her teammate's open house.

"CAPTAIN IS HERE"

Kaili immediately broke out into a huge smile as the entire team ran up to her when she entered, and although Chenle was slightly jealous that she had been stolen from him, seeing how happy she was made it worth it.

He walked past her, momentarily resting his hand on the curve of her back and whispering "I'm gonna get us drinks" in her ear, before leaving her with the crowd.

Kaili cursed her body for its reaction, hoping none of her teammates would notice the red in her face.

Yuna definitely raised an eyebrow, but after a quick whispered conversation with Yeji, she pretended not to have noticed, continuing on with their conversation about the trip for nationals.

"Hey there loverboy"

Chenle was greeted by the rest of the basketball team as soon as he escaped the crowd, and he smiled at them for coming, although he quickly defended himself from Donghyuck's tease.

"I don't know what you're talking about"

All of the boys who had been behind Mark when he interrupted the 'moment' at the venue rolled their eyes.

"Well we saw you earlier, and you're twenty minutes late"

"Yeah, plus you've been with her the entire time since the competition ended"

"Once again, I don't know what you're talking about. We were only late because my oh so lovely best friend changed clothes four times and insisted on making me diffuse her hair"

"So in other words-" Hyuck started the sentence, and the rest of the boys quickly finished it for him.

"YOU CHICKENED OUT"

"SCAREDY CAT"

"Lol loser"

Chenle smacked the few he could reach in the back of their heads, before quickly grabbing two sodas for him and his best friend.

"There is nothing to chicken out of"

By now the girls had separated back out to around the house, and there were a few close by.

"Other than making your move on your best friend, because you're obviously in love with her"

All of the boy's heads whipped around at the female voice that had spoken.

Chaeryeong simply shrugged, grabbing a cupcake from the table behind them and walking away before anyone could say anything back, all of them too shocked to react fast enough.

"Yo what happened to getting me a drink"

Chenle only snapped out of his panic fueled freeze when he heard Kaili's voice, and he turned around so fast he almost knocked her over.

She had been standing right behind him, and she barely had to move to put a hand on his chest, for stability obviously.

"I mean, I got you a drink, I just didn't give it to you"

"Oh yeah? Are you sure you didn't just get two for yourself?"

He shoved the can into her hand, muttering something about being ungrateful before stalking off to sit in the sofa.

"Let's play Just Dance on Yuna's Wii!"

Everyone ran into the living room, and Kaili laughed watching her teammates try and copy the moves on the screen.

She sat down next to Chenle as she did so, legs thrown across his.

"So we're totally going to crush all of them right?"

He was still pretending to be mad at her, but couldn't help but smile.

"Hell yeah"
