~Miki's POV~
"Miki!" Hizashi's loud voice made all the police officer's at the station cringe as he burst through the door and raced towards me.
I was still shaken about what had happened earlier, I'd nearly killed those people, and I could have hurt Shota too! Shota and I were at the station to give them our statements. He must have texted Hizashi about what had happened and knowing my loving overbearing brother he dropped everything to race here as quickly as possible.
Hizashi wrapped me in his arms before I had a moment to register what was happening. I felt safe and secure in my big brother's embrace and finally broke down, again.
"It's okay, Nii-chan is here." Hizashi squeezed me tightly against him and lifted me off my feet. "You're okay, Nii-chan will make everything better." His voice was shaky and I knew he was now crying too.
I hugged him tightly and buried my face in the crook of his neck. I didn't care that he was currently cradling me like a child, I was scared and just needed my big brother right now. Someone ushered us to a small conference room to give us some privacy.
Once we'd finally calmed down, Hizashi set me down atop the conference table so he could get a better look at me. "Are you hurt?"
I shook my head.
He sighed, relieved, "definitely should have checked sooner but I was just so happy to see you." He wiped away my tears and I reached up to wipe away his simultaneously causing him to crack a grin. "We're a big mess, huh?"
I nodded.
"Almost always." Shota's voice sounded from the doorway.
I felt my cheeks redden as I turned to see him framed in the doorway, his business with the police concluded.
"Thanks for keeping Miki safe for me." Hizashi attempted to give him a hug but was almost immediately shoved away.
"She kept me safe." Shota corrected him before looking at me, "though I wish you would have run away, like I'd told you."
"You used your quirk?" Hizashi looked at me worriedly, "are you okay?"
I nodded.
Hizashi returned to my side and draped an arm around my shoulders before looking at Shota, "everyone else okay?"
"The villains are still unconscious, but the medics said they'll be fine. No permanent damage." Shota replied.
"And you?" Hizashi asked curiously.
"It avoided me." His tired eyes flicked over to me again.
"Really?" Hizashi looked down at me with a smile, "that's great Miki, you managed to avoid hitting Shota. Maybe we could try training again so everyone can hear your beautiful voi-."
I frantically shook my head.
Hizashi sighed, "alright. It was worth a try." He turned his attention back to Shota, "we free to go?"
Shota nodded.
"Good." Hizashi swept me into his arms before I even had a chance to hop to my feet.
I attempted to protest but it was no use. Hizashi was in overbearing big brother mode which meant I wasn't allowed out of his sight for however long it took him to calm down. I gave up resisting and relaxed in his arms, letting him carry me back home.
Once we made it back to the apartment, Hizashi immediately dropped onto the couch nearly suffocating me in a bone crushing hug. Shota threw a worried look in my direction before going to put the groceries away. He returned to the living room and decided I'd had enough smothering and sighed.
