~Shota's POV~
The morning of the Sports Festival I woke with a groan way earlier than I had ever wanted to be awake as Hizashi barged into my room before the sun had risen and started shaking me awake. I begrudgingly opened my eyes and shot him a scowl.
"What do you want?!" I snapped as he continued shaking me.
"The Sports Festival is today!" He panicked, his voice was so loud I was sure he'd woken up Miki and all of our neighbors.
"I'm aware, we're working but it doesn't start for hours now let me go back to sleep." I growled and struggled to roll away from him. I had better movement with my arms but it was still a little difficult.
"What about Miki?!" He started shaking me again as my eyes drifted closed.
This gave me pause. All the students participated in the Festival in some way, even general studies students since a lot of them had applied for the hero course. I thought of a few problematic students that could trigger her PTSD. Stiffly, I sat up. My gaze flicked to the doorway as I heard Miki's door open across the hall. A moment later, she shuffled into my room wearing a pair of cute pink Hello Kitty pajama shorts with a matching tank top. Her auburn tinged honey golden hair was tousled from sleep. An adorable yawn escaped her as she rubbed the sleep from her eyes.
"Miki-chan? What are you doing out of bed at this hour?" Hizashi yelped as he realized my gaze had been transfixed on the door and turned to see her.
"You woke her up, idiot." I sighed and erased her quirk as she threw us a curious look.
"Nii-chan, what were you yelling about?" She asked in her soft sweet voice while trying to stifle another yawn.
Hizashi wrapped an arm around her shoulders, "Nii-chan wasn't yelling, it's much too early for adorable Miki-chan's to be out of bed, come on. Nii-chan will tuck you in."
"Your sister complex is bordering on a criminal level of creepy." I pointed as he steered a groggy and confused Miki out of my room.
My arms ached as I shifted slightly, swinging my legs over the edge of the bed waiting for Hizashi to return. Now that the idiot had mentioned it, I was worried about her participating in the Sports Festival. She was only attending UA because Hizashi had been worried and wanted to keep her closer. The festival could prove to be traumatic for her, especially if she got too close to a certain hot-headed student of mine.
Hizashi returned to my room a few minutes later. "What do we do about Miki?" He panicked and tried to keep his voice hushed so as not to alarm her again.
I thought for a moment, not sure what to do. "Has she mentioned it at all?"
He shook his head. "Maybe we could convince Principal Nezu we need her as a cohost."
I raised an eyebrow at this, "and what do you think his response will be when you ask him if your mute sister can help us commentate on the festival?" Sometimes I wondered if he had any brain cells left at all.
He shrugged, "who knows what that loon will say to anything."
That was a fair point. No one ever knew what Nezu would do, he was kind of a wild card. "Perhaps, when it's an hour when people should be awake, we can ask Miki what she wants." I suggested and flopped back onto my bed.
Hizashi considered my offer before shaking his head, "I'm calling Principal Nezu." He turned to run.
"Not now, idi-." I called after him but cut off with a sigh as he disappeared out the door ignoring my rational protest. Hizashi smacked into his bedroom door in his haste. I was sure the sound had woken Miki if she'd somehow fallen back asleep.
