“Bitch, get out of here!” Ludi shooed her away but she didn’t move.
“Didn’t you two have girlfriends before you decided to fuck? I wonder what they think about this,” Aly said while pointing between Syd and Ludi. “Mm, can’t even reply to that.”
She turned back to a disinterested Fire. “Where’s TJ?”
“I am not his keeper,” Fire snapped. She’d chosen a bad time to come mess up his day. All he wanted was for school to be over so he can act up. He was looking forward to all the attention he was going to receive by being a brat. Not to mention the loving. He was almost tempted to skip school and just go join them but knew he couldn’t. His dad would kill him and his mom would join after finding out it was all for dick. The last thing he wanted however was to face his ex.
Aly laughed in his face. “Forgot that ended. Who knows, he might end up with me after I give birth. After all, a baby needs two parents.”
She walked away after that, causing Fire to let out a groan. She’d gotten into his skin.
“TJ is going to be the end of me,” Fire said then sighed. Ludi hugged him, that being exactly what his best friend needed.
He practically ran out when the last siren of the day rang. Loy had already organized him a cab, even though he would have preferred to have him fet H him. It dropped him at TJ’s place. He rang the bell while stepping down. The man opened while rubbing his eyes. He’d probably just woken up.
“Mxm,” Fire said then walked past him, somehow causing Loy to sigh.
“You don’t greet?” Loy asked as he closed the door then turned to Fire who’d dropped his bag on the floor and now had his arms crossed while wearing a mean mug.
“That’s all you care about? You’re being unfair!” Fire complained.
“You realize I’ve only started spending time with him now, right? How much have I with you?” Loy asked.
Fire scoffed. “You happen to be my best friend so that doesn’t count. Where’s TJ?”
“In the shower. Go kiss him for me,” Loy said.
Fire rolled his eyes but still left. He found TJ walking out of the bathroom dripping wet with a towel around his waist. He smiled when he saw its Fire, opening his arms to the sulking boy. He hadn’t realized he’d missed him so much until he saw him.
“Come on, come to Daddy,” TJ urged.
Fire rolled his eyes but walked to him, being slower just to test his patience but finally arrived. He didn’t even mind getting his uniform wet. It just felt good being in the older’s arms.
“I missed you so much,” TJ said.
“I missed you too,” Fire replied. TJ’s hands went to Fire’s butt then lifted him, the boy wrapping his legs around TJ’s waist.

“We don’t know whether she’s pregnant for sure. She might have faked it,” TJ said.
“But she might also actually be pregnant,” Fire said. “And I think she thinks y’all will eventually get together because of the baby.”
“Why are you letting her ruin our vibe?” TJ said as he went on to kiss the boys jaw.
Fire pushed him back gently. They had to talk about this. Loy came in and closed the door, making sure to lock.
“Just make sure she’s really pregnant and he present if she is. I can’t have a deadbeat for a boyfriend,” Fire said.
That had TJ sighing but he still nodded. He was going to do right by his baby, that’s for sure and knew his fathers were probably going to kill him for it. His mother wasn’t someone he was worried about since he was chilled but Junior and Hugh? They weren’t going to take it lightly.
“She’s really pregnant,” Loy said as he sat next to TJ. “And it’s most probably yours since you’re the only guy she messed with the past months.”
TJ sighed, getting Fire off him so he could get dressed. He was now beginning to stress about this which he hated. He walked to his closet and came out fully dressed.
“I’m going to her,” he informed the other two. The sooner he dealt with it, the better.
“I just got here. You’re not just about to leave!” Fire complained.
“I know baby but I can’t have this hanging over me. It’s already stressing me out. Aly and I have to talk. I’ve avoided it for too long,” TJ said. “Loy will take care of you for me.”
Loy scoffed. “For you?”
“For us,” TJ corrected. He leaned to kiss Fire briefly then Loy. He didn’t want to leave them here but knew he had to.
“Guess it’s just us,” Fire said as he went On to straddle Loy’s lap.
“Mm, plus I have to make it up to my baby,” Loy said as his hands rested on the boy’s bottom. He squeezed a bit, loving the yelp from Fire. The two’s lips met.

Ludi and Syd had been staring at each other for over five minutes now, Aly having elicited a conversation the two had never visited since they got together. It was worse with Syd because he hadn’t broken up with his girlfriend who happened to know about Ludi and was cool with it. Ludi on the other hand had just ghosted his. The girl had just been a cover up anyway since he knew he loved boys.
“So, you’re not going to say anything?” Ludi prompted, breaking the ice.
“What do you want me to say?” Syd countered. This wasn’t a conversation people had after making love.
Ludi scoffed. “Oh, really? Tell me about Brownie and whatever y’all have going on. I went into her Instagram and there’s recent pictures of you guys.” He scoffs again. “So, I’m the fool here?”
“What about you? What happened to your girl?” Syd asked. He and Brownyn had been together for about three years and were best friends before anything else. She’s the one he’d told when he started feeling something for Ludi and hadn’t been ready to confront it.
“We fell apart. She moved on too,” Ludi said. “But I guess that’s not the case with Brownie, right?”
Syd bit his lip and nodded. Ludi looked up, tears clouding his eyes. The admission alone hurt and his heart broke more because he knew he wasn’t about to leave Syd or make him choose. He just hadn’t thought they were together because of how much time Syd spent with him. Where did he get time for Brownie when he was always with him?
“Baby,” Syd said while attempting to touch Ludi who yanked him off.
“Don’t you dare!” Ludi roared. “You had me convinced I’m the only one while I’m just your damn side!”
“No, you’re not,” Syd said.
Ludi scoffed. “Oh, really? Fuck you.”
A knock sounded on the door which had Syd sighing because he knew who that was. Him and Brownie had to go somewhere and he’d planned to leave Ludi here to deal with that. He walked to the door and opened, letting the girl walk in.
She didn’t seem surprised to find Ludi there.
“Hey Ludi,” Brownie said.
Ludi just nodded at the girl, discreetly wiping his face. He picked his bag.
“Where are you going?” Syd asked.
“Giving you and your girlfriend privacy. I’ll see you at school tomorrow,” Ludi said.
“I’m not letting you leave alone,” Syd said.
“Sydney please. I need space,” Ludi said.
“You’ll have that alone when you’re home,” Syd said in finality. He turned to Brownie who had made herself comfortable on the bed. “B, I’m just taking him home.”
She nodded, knowing he was going to come back to him.
The minute the two boys stepped outside, Syd held his cheek that had just received a slap from Ludi.
“I hate you!” he bellowed. “I fucken love you!”
“But you seemed fine with Loy being with Fire and TJ. Why can’t we all do that?” Syd asked.
“She’s a girl! I don’t... Man, I wouldn’t mind if it’s another guy because more dick for me but a girl Sydney? I’m gay, not bi.”
Yet deep down, he knew he didn’t have a problem with it. He knew Syd loved him and maybe not as much as he loved him but the love was there. Also, he hadn’t made him think there could be someone else until now.
He banged the door after getting in, arms folded to his chest while he looked outside the window. Syd got in and immediately started the car. Ludi played music on the drive because he wasn’t in any mood to listen to him. Not when things were like that.
Syd locked the doors as he parked outside Ludi’s house. They had to talk.
“Baby,” he called to the boy who still looked out. “I’m sorry. Brownie isn’t a problem. You don’t have to worry about her.”
Ludi scoffed and turned to meet the older boy’s gaze.
“Worry about her? What do you think we’ll do... Bump coochies? I’m not crazy,” Ludi snapped.
“I’m not asking you to do anything,” Syd said. “Not with her or anyone other than me.”
“But you can? You’ll be up in her then want to come to me. All this time you had me under the illusion I’m the only one knowing very well you still with her!” Ludi bellowed.
“I’ll see you,” Syd said.
The younger was disappointed but he still got out since Syd had now unlocked the car.

TJ found himself trying to calm down because of how being outside of Aly’s house was infuriating him. He only got out of his car when he was calm, knowing he’d be able to have a conversation without snapping his neck. He hated when people messed with him and Fire. The girl was expecting him so when he rang the bell, it didn’t take long for the door to open. He’d found their gate already open.
“Baby daddy,” Aly greeted.
He just sucked his teeth and moved past him to get inside the house.
“Are you alone?” he asked as he launched on a loveseat in the living room.
“Yes,” she said and sat on another next to the man.
He turned so they’re facing each other then sighed.
“Do your parents know?” he asked.
She nodded.
“And that it’s me?” she shook her head. “Why not?”
“You didn’t seem interested,” she said and shrugged.
“Oh but you were more than eager to go asking about me from Fire as if you don’t have my number,” He said.
She bit her lip. She only went to him because she was being petty. She also has this twisted idea that the baby will bring them together.
“Cat got your tongue?”
She huffed. “Why are you here?”
“As your baby daddy, i want to be there for my baby. I want to be there for you on every step of the way. If you got cravings, call me. Like, for anything that you need except for your sexual cravings because I’m never tapping that again,” TJ said. “My parents don’t know yet but I’ll let them know so we can pay damages and stuff. My baby is going to have my surname.”
She smiled; trying not to grin. She was happy he wanted to be responsible. If he thought this wouldn’t bring them closer then he had another thing coming.
“OK,” she whispered.
“Can I touch?” his eyes were on her stomach. She nodded and lifted her top, TJ stretching out his hand to rub her belly.
He was really about to be someone’s father at eighteen. He’d never imagined that happening so soon, especially while he was in school but he was going to do the best for his child.
The two didn’t spend that much time together since TJ wanted to get back to his boyfriend’s. He was glad that he’d stepped up and though he initially wanted to curse out at Aly, he had no complaints about how their meet panned out. “I missed you,” TJ said. “That’s why I came so early.”
“We did too. I’m hungry,” Loy said.
“You’re making me cook more than I usually do,” TJ complained.
“I’m obsessed with your food,” Loy said with a shrug.
“Oh, are you now?” TJ said as he got up. “Please come help.”
“Of course baby, I’ll get dressed,” Loy said.
TJ shook his head. “no need. I love the view.”
Loy scoffed but still followed the boy out.
