Ice Punch (Bea x Male Reader)

Third Person POV:

The boy looks surprised, trying to process what the young adult just said.

Victor: "Are you serious?"

Y/N: "Yes, you heard that correctly. The same scenario from your last battle. Your Sobble against one of my Pokemon."

Victor: "B-but-"

Y/N: "Do you want a second chance or not?" He asks firmly.

Victor takes a deep breath before responding.

Victor: "Yes!"

Y/N: "Good."

They both make their way towards the battle court in the forntyard, their only source of light being the moon illuminating everything.

Eventually they reach their position and Y/N speaks up.

Y/N: "Right, recapitulating the rules; it's a 1v1 battle the one that gets the opponents Pokemon knocked out first wins."

Victor takes out a Pokeball and throws it at the court, starting the battle.

Victor: "Sobble! I choose you!"

In response, Y/N sends his partner on the battlefield.

Y/N: "Let's go! Snorunt!"

The shivering Pokemon gets in the field, ready for action.

Victor: "Sobble, use Water Gun."

The Pokemon squirts water at the other Pokemon hitting him.

Y/N: "Not bad, now Snorunt, use Powder Snow."

The Ice Pokemon launches a white chili powder at the Water Pokemon, making a little bit of damage.

Victor: "Now, use Pound!"

Victor's Pokemons begins charging at Y/N's, but in response he just waits.

So, when the lizard Pokemon gets close enough, Y/N makes his move.

Y/N: "Use Astonish."

The Snorunt makes a pose and a noise that startles the Sobble, knocking him off balance.

Victor: "Sobble! Are you alright?"

Y/N: "You know Vic, sometimes you will never have the tools in your favor, so the best plan, is use the tools that you have and adapt, like you did to knock Hop's Grookey off balance." He says to the boy, remembering his battle.

Victor: "So, what you did just now..."

Y/N: "Precisely, I used my tools to try and gain some advantage. I know that I can't win going full aggressive against a Water Pokemon, so I did this to buy me time."

Victor: "I see, but now let's resume our battle." He replies in a confident tone.

Y/N: "Damn straight! Snorunt, use Double Team."

The Snorunt begins making copies of himself. To confuse the enemy.

Y/N: "Now let me show you how it's done, use Avalanche!"

Snorunt summons a snow Avalanche towards Sobble.

Victor: "Sobble, use Water Gun in all the copies."

Sobble fires a water jet, making the duplicate disappear, hitting the original one and canceling the avalanche.

Y/N eyes widen in surprise, making Victor smirk.

Victor: "Now use bind on the original."

Sobble wraps its tail on the Snorunt, trapping him.

Y/N: "Snorunt, try using Powder Snow."

Victor: "Now Sobble, take him out!"

Snorunt tries using Powder Snow onto Sobble eyes, but he just ignores it and throws Snorunt on the ground pretty hard, making it faint.

There's a minute of silence between the two of them, before Y/N speaks up.

Y/N: "Not bad Vic, not bad at all." He says, clapping his hands while approaching the young boy.

He retrieves the envelope from his pocket and hands it to Victor.

Y/N: "As I promised, here you are, an Endorsement Letter in my name, just for you."

Victor: "R-right...thanks Y/N." He says, taking the letter into his hand.

But Y/N doesn't let go of the envelope, his grip strengthens.

Y/N: "Before you take it, promise one more thing."

Victor: "O-ok, w-what is it?"

Y/N: "Promise me that you won't give up, promise me that even though you find difficulties in your path that you will always get up and keep moving."

Victor: "I-I...I promise." He says quietly.

Y/N: "Huh? Say that again? I didn't quite catch it."

Victor: "I promise! I won't give up!" He says in a louder and more confident tone.

Y/N: "Very good, here you go." I say, letting go of the envelope.

The boy stares at the letter on his hands before responding.

Victor: "Thank you Y/N, for giving me a second chance." He says, giving me a smile, a genuine smile.

Y/N: "No problems kid. Just go back home and warn your mother that you are leaving tomorrow." He says before leaving.

As he was heading back on the route he turns back and delivers one last message to the young boy.

Y/N: "Oh, and Victor?"

Victor: "What is it?"

Y/N: "See you at my Gym so we can battle again." He says smiling.

The boy nods while smiling in response.

Y/N POV:

After our battle, I am currently heading back to Wedgehurst so I can go back to Motostoke; when I begin rewinding this last event.

Y/N: "Who would have thought that so far from home, I could find someone so similar...The world sometimes is mysterious huh?"

Then I look back at the moment I gave Victor my endorsement. His smile. It was so genuine, the same smile that I had when I defeated Glacia back at the Hoenn League. Feeling like I continued a cycle. I felt like nothing, but I got the boost to start again and I passed this torch to Victor.

Y/N: "Vic, I know that sometimes when in a journey, the world will try everything to put you down. But remember those who supported and believed in you, and you will be fine. Your mother, Hop, your Pokemon and me."

I then start to remember the people who believe in me both in Hoenn and here in Galar. My mom, Glaceon and Froslass, Miss Glacia, Melony... and Bea.

I then start to remember her.

Y/N: "Bea...what a mysterious girl, she looks strong but seems to have her weaknesses, I feel like I know her, but at the same time I don't know anything about her. And she's so beautiful...her shining gray hair, her mesmerizing silver eyes, her cute black ribbon and her love for sweets."

I begin blushing lightly the more I remember about the Karate Prodigy girl.

Y/N: "I should talk to her, maybe I can thank her on the Opening Ceremony." I think to myself entering the train station.
