Y/N POV:

After a long week of waiting, it was finally the time. The day of the opening ceremony; the day that I am going to show to Galar who I really am; the whole region, perhaps the whole world will be watching me again.

I wash my face in the bedroom bathroom and look at my reflection in the mirror.

Y/N: "A lot has happened to me since I arrived in Galar, having contact with the new Pokemon in the region, capturing new Pokemon, meeting the Champion and his family, light up a spark into Victor, meeting Kabu, Melony and Bea..."

To avoid overthinking too much about the silver haired brawler, I take a deep breath and start remembering about Glacia, and how she 'saved me' from my inner demons.

Y/N: "Glacia, you gave me a new chance, a chance to redeem myself, I know I still struggle with my inner demons, but today, I want to prove that I can fight back. So, you better watch it." I say it in my head, staring at my reflection with a determined look on my face.

My thoughts are then interrupted when I feel something touching both of my knees.

I look down and see my two trustworthy partners, Glaceon and Froslass, looking up to me, and by the look in their eyes, I knew exactly what they were trying to say.

We are here for you, Y/N, for the good or the bad, we will always be by your side...

I smile appreciatively at the gesture of my trusted battle partners and pet them both in their heads.

Y/N: "Thank you a lot, guys. Now, let's do this, you're with me?" I say to the Pokemons.

They both nod in confirmation.

I smile once again, before retrieving them back to their respective pokeballs.

I leave the dorm and the hotel and make my way to the Motostoke Stadium.

When I get enter the stadium, I am greeted with some familiar faces, Rose, the President from the Pokemon League and his assistant, Oleana; Melony, the former Ice-Type Gym Leader and Kabu, the former Motostoke Gym Leader.

They notice me and go and greet me.

Rose: "Ah, young Y/N, good to see you here! Right on time." He says, approaching me, his assistant never leaving his side.

Melony: "It's good to see you again, Y/N" I'm glad SOMEONE didn't scare you off." She says the last part, glaring at chairman Rose.

Y/N: "Oh, no, it's fine, I would have discovered it by one way or another."

Kabu: "So, Y/N, how are you feeling?"

Y/N: "Nervous, to say the least. But I am excited to do this at the same time."

Rose: "Glad to know. All the other Gym Leaders were just saying on how excited to meet you."

Y/N: "Oh yeah, the others, speaking of which...where should I meet them?"

Oleana: "Go to the locker rooms to dress yourself, you will meet them there. We'll call you in a few minutes, so be quick." She replies in a cold and monotone voice that sends chills down my spine.

I nod in response and start heading to the locker room, but before I leave, I feel a hand grab me on my shoulder. I look back and see Melony.

Melony: "You can do this. I trust you. So does your partners."

Y/N: "I know." I reply, smiling at her.

Eventually, I was able to find the boys locker room door. I take a deep breath before opening the door.
