Chan's scattered thoughts arrive at a conclusion a week later, when Changbin is distant and Hyunjin never texted.
He meets up with his sister. She asks him if he liked the flowers, and Chan tells her he needs a break – she can see the dark circles under his eyes, she knows that Chan is working too much – and she books him a flight to Australia, to visit their grandparents and Berry.
Jia tells him she'll hire some of the art department's freelancers and interns full time now that the company has expanded again, and less work will fall to Chan when he comes back from his vacation.
Chan tells her he loves her. He tries not to cry when she hugs him.
