You were in your bedroom, whimpering and in pain.
It was your second day of your period, and the second day was always the worst.
The pain was like Loki stabbing Thor, but Loki was stabbing your uterus every second non-stop.
The only thing you could do was put your hand on your stomach and stir in your bed.
You really needed someone to cuddle and watch Netflix right now, but unfortunately the team went on a mission and left you behind.
Turns out you weren't the only one in the tower, because Loki was there too.
You've talked a couple of times. Short conversations about Shakespeare, and some other books you recommended to him.
The only thing you could do was take a nap. So you did that and ignored the pain that was rising.
After 15 minutes of sleeping, someone knocked softly at your door.
You woke up, and debated if you should open it because you still thought that you were alone.
You decided that you should and grabbed your dagger that was hidden below your pillow in case of an emergency.
You stood up, went to the door to open it. You pointed the dagger at their neck, only to realize that it was Loki.
Your eyes relaxed and you let your guard down, lowering your dagger.
"Hey," you greeted him. He greeted back, holding something in front of you.
It was the book you had lent him 2 days ago, and he was returning it.
You reached for the book, but the pain returned stronger than ever, making you drop dagger and clutch your stomach.
"Are you okay?..." Loki asked, concerned and raising an eyebrow.
"Yeah just," You groaned. You took a deep breath and sighed, making eye contact with him.
"Women have this thing called period. They can't have babies if they don't have it. It basically goes like this: Uterus want baby, uterus don't get baby, uterus get revenge. And their revenge is making you bleed for a whole week, and feeling like someone is stabbing you every second,"
You blinked a couple times, slowly removing your hands from your stomach to your hips, trying to see if he understood or not.
His look on his face was confused and scared at the same time, making you chuckle.
"May I ask what relieves this pain?" He asked, trying to help.
"Uh, maybe ice packs or something?" You answered. He looked like he thought of something for a moment.
"I think I can help, but do you promise to not be terrified of what I am about to show you?" He asked.
"Why would I be terrified of you?" He sighed. He took a deep breath, before turning to his Jötun form.
His eyes were completely red, his skin blue with a few markings on his face and neck.
"Woah," you whispered in awe, chuckling. "This is so cool," You walked closer to touch his cheek, which was awfully cold.
"You're not afraid?" He asked. "Dude, of course not. You're a human ice pack!" You answered, giggling.
"Then do I have your permission to touch your stomach, to ease your pain?" He asked you.
"Mhm," You nodded, still caressing his cheek, smiling.
"Come on," You gestured him to go to walk your bed. You laid down, and patted the free spot beside you, signalling him to lay with you.
He laid down, while you turned so your back was facing him. You took his hand and placed it on your stomach, making the pain go away.
You smiled while whispering a thank you, making him smile and scoot closer, wrapping his other arm around your waist. He has never trusted anyone this fast before, and maybe it was for a reason, because you were now happily engaged to him.
