Aiden
I really didn't want to go to school today. I know every kid says that, but I think I mean it the most out of us all. Here's the thing: I'm the most popular guy at school, which don't get me wrong, is great, until you're constantly worried about people finding out your secrets. Also, my sister Avery said there's a new girl in our year. She also told me not to hit on her, but I can't help myself. If she's pretty, I'm going after her: it's common sense. I've never really had a proper girlfriend, and I hate to admit it, but I'm kind of a player. I'm changing though. I'll be fifteen in November, so I think it's time to grow up and mature a little, or a lot, as Avery seems to think. She and I strolled along the street, backpacks swung over one shoulder. "So, where's your boyfriend?" I teased. She shot me a venomous look, her poison gluing my lips shut. I may be horrible and annoying, but I admire my sister more than anyone else. She's strong, powerful, independent, and obviously good-looking because she's my twin. You know, given that she's 'little miss popular', it's strange how she doesn't have a boyfriend. Every single time a guy musters up the courage to ask her out, he's shot down. I don't know why she does it. Maybe if she gave them a chance she'd see that love isn't that scary. Or maybe she's just waiting for the right guy, which is understandable, I guess.
As we turned the corner, we were released into a world of chaos. We stood amongst the crowd and I began to search for Axel. Avery had shot off God knows where, so I was left on my own. Just as I was about to give up, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I whipped my head around to find him standing there, looking very different from when I'd last seen him. "What's up, golden boy?"
"Axel?"
"That's me."
"Wow, you look... different. I mean that in a good way. The whole red-black thing suits you. Not that you didn't look nice before I just-"
"Aww bless, my hot, new look has golden boy all flustered and panicked." As we chuckled lightly beneath the blazing sun, he threw his arm around me. "I missed you, man."
"I missed you too. We have so much to catch up on, starting with your hair... and the cigarette, which by the way, you can get rid of."
