[ NO ONE'S POV ]
Snowy steps crunched in the snow as the girl and boy went along, light banter passing between the two as they walked. Determination, as always, filled the girl as the two approached where Papyrus was waiting.
"Ah, wait! What about the library?? I used to love going to the one above the surface!! And you and Pap's house?! I wanna see ittttt," exclaimed the small human, trying to not make it obvious she was attempting to postpone this fight. "Oh? Well, sure, we can check it out another time. But, Paps has been texting me nonstop about how excited he is to see ya again," the skeleton stated. With a groan of annoyance, the girl sighed, crossed her arms, and turned away from him slightly. "Okay, fineeeee, you mEanie. . ." Y/N was under the impression Sans hadn't heard her comment, but he had and it amused him. He wouldn't admit it to himself, but he thought that Y/N looked quite cute when she pouted.
"Hm, well, if I'm so mean. . . I'm sure ya wouldn't mind saying hi to my brother alone would ya, pipsqueak?" the boy snickered, lightly elbowing the girl. "W-Wait, wha- But—?!" the female stuttered, obviously not a fan of this idea. And when she turned around, the sneaky skeleton that'd suggested it was gone. "OH MY- SANS, YOU BONEHEAD!!! I SWEAR TO ASGORE, WHEN I FIND YOU I'LL—". Suddenly the girl stopped her rant, finding she was getting weird looks from residents of the small, snowed-in town. With a exasperated huff, the human girl started forward again. Her hands were stuffed in her pockets and her pissed off face was half-hidden by her scarf.
what an asshole. . .
As she strolled forwards, the snow became a lot thicker, until the girl couldn't see her hands in front of her. Getting anxious about this situation, she increased her pace and pulled the scarf farther up her face. Eventually, to her relief, the snow started to clear up and she could see again. As she exited the snow flurry, one could see her face covered in snow, with eyelashes acting as little roofs with snow atop them. Shaking her head, similar to a dog, she shook the snow off her.
A tall skeleton watched this all in confusion and decided to finally speak up. "HUMAN. ALLOW ME TO TELL YOU ABOUT SOME COMPLEX FEELINGS. FEELINGS LIKE... THE JOY OF FINDING ANOTHER PASTA LOVER. THE ADMIRATION FOR ANOTHER'S PUZZLE-SOLVING SKILLS. THE DESIRE TO HAVE A COOL, SMART PERSON THINK YOU ARE COOL. THESE FEELINGS... THEY MUST BE WHAT YOU ARE FEELING RIGHT NOW!!! I CAN HARDLY IMAGINE WHAT IT MUST BE LIKE TO FEEL THAT WAY. AFTER ALL, I AM VERY GREAT. I DON'T EVER WONDER WHAT HAVING LOTS OF FRIENDS IS LIKE. I PITY YOU... LONELY HUMAN... WORRY NOT!!! YOU SHALL BE LONELY NO LONGER! I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, WILL BE YOUR... ...NO... NO, THIS IS ALL WRONG! I CAN'T BE YOUR FRIEND! YOU ARE A HUMAN! I MUST CAPTURE YOU! THEN, I CAN FULFILL MY LIFELONG DREAM!!! POWERFUL! POPULAR! PRESTIGIOUS!!! THAT'S PAPYRUS!!! THE NEWEST MEMBER... OF THE ROYAL GUARD!" (sorry he had sm dialogue- i just wanted to quote the game and don't worry you'll actually get to talk now). And so, Papyrus blocked the way.
Stumbling back in slight fear and extreme surprise, she checked Papyrus out. She deduced that he was decently good at fighting but didn't have the greatest defense. Another thing the girl noted was that he liked to say 'NYEH HEH HEH!'. To her amusement, the skeleton across from her suddenly exclaimed "NYEH HEH HEH!". Then, he proceeded to shoot three bones at her, which she easily dodged. The choice of what to do next stumped her.
shitshitshit-, ok lemme just think for a sec... Papyrus is hellbent on capturing me, so trying to talk him out of it would be a waste of time.. I could always insult him, but I honestly thought we were sort of friends up until now.. plus, he's Sans brother so of course I don't want to hurt his feelings... what would throw him off..?
...
