After the attack on Mistral the council mostly took over the clean up leavening everyone else to do whatever until the next morning, Blake, Yang, and Weiss went to a cafe to catch up, JNR went to get pancakes, and Qrow and Oscar/Ozpin went to settle business with the council about the relic. Leave y/n alone in the house with Ruby. Ruby was in her room while y/n was downstairs until she called to him

Ruby: could you come here for a sec?

Y/n: alright.

Y/n walked upstairs and to her room and her room

Y/n closed the door immediately unable to believe what he saw, Ruby opened the door still in the outfit with a confused look

Ruby: well, since you got to mistral we haven't had much alone time, so I thought this would be a nice thing to do tonight.

Y/n closed his eyes as Ruby patted his head gaining purrs from him until she accidentally touched his ears, his eyes shot open and he jumped up from her lap

Ruby: sorry I-I didn't me too.

The two then sat in silent y/n saw that Ruby seemed sad so he asked her a question

Y/n: would...would you like to touch them?

Ruby looked at him in surprise as he's was usually embarrassed about someone touching his ears

Ruby: really?

Y/n: * ear wiggling * they're really sensitive...but if it's you then I... I wouldn't mind.

Y/n tilted his head down squeezing his eyes shut.
