Eda's POV An Hour Before
"Boom! And that's another game to me!" Eda threw the Hex'Em Hold'Em cards on the table and threw her arms up in victory "the reigning champion strikes again! Who would dare to challenge me!" Eda jumped as a hand slammed onto the table as she looked up to meet the gaze of Odalia Blight, A smile grew on Eda's face "why hello greenie it's been awhile hasn't it?" Odalia growled and sat across from Eda "You will face me now Edalyn the owl lady and we will bet on this game" Eda laughed "easy! I bet so much I'll win I'll let you have anything you want from my house" Odalia smirked and nodded "And if I lose you may choose anything from mine but I won't be losing anything" Eda nodded and set up the game and looked around to see a young green and brown haired girl reading a book called "The Good Witch Azura" "why did you bring her along Odalia?" The witch opposite her frowned and glared at the girl "that's my daughter I can bring her along wherever when it suits now shut up owl lady and let's begin"

Eda watched in horror as the last of her cards was eaten as she looked up at Odalia Blight's smug face "well well well Edalyn nothing has changed from since when we were teenagers, now I'll be off to your owl shack thingy and hopefully you won't be missing anything too important" Odalia's voice became more and more smug as she walked away and snapped her fingers as her daughter shuffled behind her. Eda held her head in her hands and suddenly cursed "Luna is at the house!" She quickly grabbed Owlbert and started flying towards the owl house "please please let me be in time"

Luz's POV Present Time
Luz hid as the front door was broken open and Hooty hooted manically as weird gooey monsters walked in and a... scary looking woman and a cute gir- no no bad Luna. The woman looked around "find anything that looks interesting and bring it to me" the goo monsters grunted and started trudging around, Luz moved against a wall and knocked over a glass and it shattered on the ground making the woman snap towards her direction "find what broke that." Luz looked up in fear at the goo monster which grabbed her and dragged her out to the woman and girl, the woman looked at Luz who was kicking against the monster trying to break free then looked at her ears and sneered "a human. Amity look at this filthy thing" Luz looked at the girl who looked like sympathy flashed in her eyes for a mere second until it changed to a glare and she sneered along with her mother "what disgusting creature mother you should keep it as a servant along with the abominations" the woman looked at her daughter and nodded slightly "not a bad idea Amity not bad at all" at that moment Eda burst through the broke door and looked at the scene ahead of her "Odalia Blight you leave my apprentice out of this" the woman "Odalia" scoffed and looked at Eda "we made a deal owl lady so I get to choose what I get to keep" Eda walked towards Odalia fury clear on her face "The human is out of bounds she is under my protection so you can choose any OBJECT and not her" Odalia scoffed but looked away "fine owl lady I'll allow you pity this time because I just want to watch you suffer with the humans failure as your apprentice, we will return for what we claim as our part of the deal in the future Edalyn no boundaries next time" at that she snapped her fingers and they all walked out. Luz fell to the ground shaking "kid are you okay? I'm so sorry that had to happen" Luz nodded and looked up at Eda then passed out hitting her face against the ground hard
