Chapet 5

The bell rang signaling the start of lunch. I made my way to the cafeteria where once again i will be showered with questions.

Since i came back everyone has asked about connor and how i was feeling. cant they just understand that i dont want to talk about it.

As i walked in i spotted nick and his friends sitting at the table i was once scarred to approach.

~Flash Back~

"dont worry so much emma" connor pulled me out of class. "they will love you".

"Are you sure I mean I'm the new girl, I don't want to intrude." He continued to drag me to his table where all of his buddies were. Ducking my head down I played with my hands.

"Hey guys so as may know I have a girlfriend now, and I know y'all have been dying to meet her." Everyone looked at him waiting for him to continue.

"I told you she was transferring here soon and well..... here she is!" at the sound of that everyone's eyes snapped to my direction.

"This is Emma. Emma this is Nick, Leo, Jason, Linda, Hanna and Jacy." I Waved and hid behind Connor.

Suddenly the girl with red hair came up to me and poked my face.

"Omg.....shes real." She squished my cheeks. Everyone at the table burst into laughter.

"You guys suck" Connor rolled his eyes. "Jacy stop pocking her!"

"Okay, okay" she put her hands up in surrender and walked back to her seat. The boy with dark black hair put his arm around her.

"Excuse her she's weird, but that's why I love her" he kissed her nose. "my name is Jason by the way" he did a salute with his other hand.

"Um hello, I hope I'm not a bother" Connor and I sat down next to them. we were sitting In front of the other two.

"Aw she's shy and she's cute" the guy had blond hair and a lip ring.

"Back off Leo she's already mine" Connor put his arm around me. Leo put his hand up in surrender.

I laughed and kissed his cheek. "All yours."

~Flash Back Over~

"Hey Emma how you been?" Hanna got up from her seat and sat next to me. Out of everyone I'm closest to Hanna and nick.

"I'm doing okay I guess." They looked at me with sad eyes. "I'm gonna go get something to eat." I got up and walked to the line.

I know they're worried about me, and they have also been affected but I don't want them to look at me like that. I don't think I'll ever go back to being the same girl.

After I got lunch and ate I decided to go home, I wasn't feeling to good. When I walked in I heard noise coming from the kitchen.

Mom and dad aren't suppose to be here yet. I walked closer and grabbed the bat that was in the closet by the door.

"Zina is that you?.....come here girl" I whistled. There was no response.

Slowly I made my way to the kitchen but before I made it in a hand grabbed my shoulder. I screamed and swung the bat hitting my target.

"Ow what the hell that hurt!" I looked and saw it was Caleb. "Man you got a good swing girl" he rubes his arm.

"Omg Caleb did I hurt you, did I brake something!" I studied his arm. he just laughed "no no I'm okay Emma".

"Good" I slapped his head.

"What was that for!" He rubbed his head and muttered an ow.

"For being an idiot, why would you sneak up on me like that and who let you in!" I put my hands on my hips. "I told you to call me and where's my dog!"

"She out back and I was going to but my phone died and I still have the key I used to get in when I lived here." he showed me his key.

"I also really had to pee and I was hungry" I jumped and looked behind me. "Hi there Emma"

"Sammy is that you?" My eyes widened, he looks different. He laughed and gave me a hug.

"Wow do I really look that different? I mean I just lost the braces and got contacts." yeah your hair also got lighter, you grew and you can tell you've been working out.

"Okay let go of her it's my turn to hug her!" Caleb pulled me into his arms.

"It's good to have you guys here" I hugged them again.

I let zo a back in and then we sat in the living room to talk.

We laughed and cried from laughing too much for hours. We just talked about their weird adventures.

I appreciate that they didn't bring Connor up.

I really needed this, even if it was only for a while I was able to forget about the pain.
