The Happy Ending of Tommy Jones [BoyxBoy]

Chapter 5

Tommy's mind kept going back to everything that happened yesterday. He was happy because Evan kissed him.

Tommy had hope in him and Evan. Even if it was slim, it was there.

Evan also remembered everything. He remembered the way he got mad when he saw Sam hugging Tommy.

He also remembers the kiss that the two shared.

He kissed Tommy, his friend.

Everything was different now. Perhaps it always has been. He liked kissing Tommy. He liked the feeling. He wanted to do it again.

He was conflicted and didn't know what to do with his feelings so he did the only thing he was good at.

He ignored it.

The first thing Tommy saw when he got to the cafeteria was Evan talking to a girl. His happiness was shattered when he saw how the girl was looking at Evan. She seemed so happy, so in love.

Tommy got close to the two and when Evan noticed him, he immediately tensed up.

"Hi" Tommy said, he was happy to see Evan despite having so many questions about yesterday.

"Hi Tommy" Evan said awkwardly.

The girl looked at Tommy for a second and then dismissed herself, Evan was now left alone with Tommy.

"About yesterday" Tommy started

Evan was now clearly panicking.

"Um, I'm sorry but I don't remember much. I was pretty drunk" Evan lied.

Tommy's expression changed from happy to sad and then to disappointed.

"I didn't do anything stupid right?" Evan asked. He knew what this was causing but he couldn't risk it.

Tommy didn't want to complicate everything so he decided to do the only thing he could do.

"No, you didn't do anything stupid" he said smiling even though it deep inside his heart was aching.

"Cool, I got some stuff to take care of, see you later" Evan smiled and then left.

Evan didn't have something to do. He just panicked and needed to get out of the situation.

He saw how sad Tommy looked but he couldn't possibly have feelings for said boy. He decided to ignore this feeling of uneasiness in his chest.

It's been two weeks since the kiss between him and Evan happened and Tommy still finds himself reminiscing about it.

They still hang out but the air is tense everytime they are together. Tommy knows that Evan remembers but he instead chose to lie about it.

'Evan is disgusted by me, that's why he chose to deny everything' Tommy's mind kept saying.

Tommy gets it. Who would want to have some type of relationship with him? A normal gay boy who is not special at all.

Tommy started to realize how cruel the world is. He was always in this state of mind that allowed him to block all the bad stuff but he was starting to get tired of it.

Tommy's always been so optimistic but he's not sure he can continue to be the guy he once was.

He was starting to see the real world, and it was nothing like the one he had in his head.
