Prologue - I Love You

~Third Person POV~

"Alright. We worked really hard for this so you gotta act normal, 'kay?" the shorter, purple haired boy said, turning around to face the taller blue haired male.

"Got it! I won't let you down!" the taller male responded with a smile.

"Nishishi! You're so optimistic Shumai! It's crazy how different you're gonna be acting!" Kokichi stated. He grabbed both of Shuichi's hands and held them in his own, causing the blue haired male to blush slightly at the contact.

"If it's how you want me to act, Kichi, I'd do it any day! It's a shame we won't be together as often..." Shuichi muttered. It was clear he wasn't super happy about this detail.

"It'll be okay Saihara-Chan! Now, you need to get in that locker before the piano chick wakes up and see us talking," the shorter male said, letting go of the others hands and putting his own on his hips.

"Alright Ouma. See you later," Shuichi replied, turning around away from Kokichi and towards the lockers.

"Wait! One more thing," the purple haired boy said, grabbing the others hand one more time.

Shuichi turned around again toward Kokichi.
"What do you need Kichi?" he asked.

"I want one thing before we split ways." Kokichi responded.

"What is it?" Shuichi asked.

The purple boy walked up to the blue haired one and got on his tippy-toes.

"Gimme a hug," he said, wrapping his arms around the others males torso.

"O-oh... that wasn't what I was expecting... but sure," Shuichi responded, putting his arms around the shorter boy.

After a few minutes or so they let go of each other. Shuichi turned around again, walked towards the lockers, opened one of them, and was about to go in.

"Hey Saihara-Chan?" Kokichi asked from the doorway.

"Yes Ouma?" Shuichi asked.

"..." Kokichi stood in silence for a moment.

"I love you," he said.

"Really?"

"Really."

"I love you too."
