Chapter IV - A Plan

~Shuichis POV~

I woke up to the sound of the morning announcements.

"It's already 7?" I thought, rubbing my eyes. "I guess I did stay up pretty late with Kichi."

"Never mind that! Today I have to come up with a brilliant murder plan for him!"

I got up off my bed and changed into the "ultimate detective" uniform I had been given yesterday.

"Who would give people the most despair if they died?" I thought while making my bed.

"Kaito? He seemed annoyingly optimistic. Rantaro? He'd have some sort of advantage from surviving the last game. Ah! Maybe Kaede! She seemed to give everyone hope! Annoying bitch."

I walked out of my dorm down to the cafeteria like area to get some breakfast. As I walked in I saw almost everyone else there.

"Ah Shuichi!" I looked over to see who called me, and unfortunately it was Kaede.

"H-hey Kaede..." I said as I walked over to where she was sitting.

"Let's make today super great alright!" The annoying blonde stated in an energetic tone.

"Why e-exactly?" I asked.

"Well normally I'd say you should make everyday great! But I guess there won't be any days after today, huh..." she replied.

"Oh! How did I forgot that! That's why I need a murder plan! I can't just let this game Kichi worked so hard for go to waste!" I thought, biting my lip.

"W-well, there might be one way..." I muttered.

"Really!? What did you have in mind?" She seemed surprised.

"Ah... well, if we're all stuck here, then someone must be behind it right? We wouldn't all just get stuck here ourselves..."

"Are you saying there's a mastermind behind all of this!?"

"Uhm... possibly?"

"God, she's so loud." I thought, reaching a hand up to my hat and pulling it over my eyes.

"So we just have to stop the mastermind!" She stated somewhat happily?

"Good. This will be interesting." I thought.

"Y-yeah!" I stuttered.

"See Shuichi! Your an amazing detective!" She continued to spout some more random optimistic things.

"This girl never shuts up." I looked around the room to see if Kichi was here.

"I guess he's not..." I accidentally whispered under my breath.

"Hm? What?" The blond sitting next to me asked.

"O-oh! N-nothing..." I replied with a smile.

She smiled back at me and then continued eating.

"That's one way to shut her up..." I thought, turning to the food in front of me.

"I miss eating with Kichi..."

"Should I give him a surprise or should I talk to him about it?" I was debating between whether or not I should ask Kokichi about the murder I was planning.

"I don't know what to do!" I yelled, not worrying about anyone hearing it because Kokichi had told me he made my room soundproof, for some reason...

"Hm... if I get caught as the culprit I'll die, which will cause my beloved Kichi to despair, but he won't have anymore help behind the scenes. But if they get it wrong, they'll all die anyway!"

"This is so frustrating..." I thought.

"Trail... motivation... framing... culprit... punishment..."

"FRAMING!"

"That's perfect! Someone will die, someone would be executed, but we'll both survive! I'll need to pick someone to frame though."

"Wait... what if they find out the person was framed!? Dammit that was such a good idea..."

"Hmmm... motivation? A reason to murder... a grudge? Being told too? THATS IT!" I yelled feeling ecstatic.

"Kichi will love it!"

"This'll be perfect..."

~Kaedes POV~

"Hey Shuichi?" I called, knocking on the door which seemed to be his dorm.

"Is he even in there? I don't hear anything..." I thought, feeling a small frown on my face.

I was about to go look for him somewhere else, when suddenly the door opened and I saw a blue haired male with a hat covering his eyes in front of me.

"D-do you need something?" He asked me, stepping forward and closing the door behind him.

"Ah! I was wondering if we could talk a bit about your idea about the master mind..." my sentence getting quieter as I kept talking.

"O-oh... come inside then." Shuichi replied, reopening the door he had previously closed and inviting me in. If I didn't know any better I could've sworn I saw a small smile form on his face.

I closed the door as a stepped in and saw him sitting on his bed, patting the space next to him, indicating for me to sit there.

I went up to the bed and sat down next to him and looked at him.

"So what exactly did you want to talk about?" He said with a smile, turning to face towards me, crossing his legs as he did so.

"That's odd... he isn't normally this optimistic."

"Well I wondering if you had a plan to solve the problem with the mastermind?" I asked him

"Well I did have an idea." He said, standing up and walking in front of where I was sitting, crouching down a bit, so his face was on the same level as mine.

"But it's a bit out there." He finished. I could have sworn that his eyes flashed a bright pink for a split second.

I rubbed my eyes then asked.

"What is it?"
