Chapter IX - The Aftermath

A/N: School has started back up for me so I won't be updating this story as often. Sorry if that upsets anyone. Just thought I'd let everyone know.

~Shuichis POV~

The pianist just hung there, not breathing.

Her limp body swinging a bit from the movement.

Suddenly, the cover of the piano, which had a ton of spikes on it, started to fall down.

But, one thing unexpected happened, a blue and white bear was seen being pushed up to the falling lid and getting crushed along with the body of the pianist.

I glared over to the green and white robot who had pushed the blue one into the piano.

It was running away with the other bears. I guess I'll talk to Kichi about that later.

I heard footsteps and turned back around to the other people standing around the execution venue.

Some were crying, some were just looking away, and others had just neutral looks on their face.

I turned back to the execution site were the giant bloodied piano stood.

I felt tears fall down my cheeks.

I fell down onto my knees.

I'm stared at the ground and smiled.

It was amazing.

Kokichi is super creative, that was an amazing execution. I hope the rest of the executions are just as good. Those were some of the only things Kichi didn't show me before hand.

The other clueless participants were talking amongst themselves. I wasn't really paying attention to anything they were saying. I was too busy replaying the execution in my mind over and over.

The look of despair on the pianists face as she was swung around, her hanging body playing a corrupted melody, it was beautiful.

One thing stood out to me in the mess of the others talking though.

I heard footsteps coming towards me.

I turned my smile upside down into a frown.

Lifting my head up my eyes were met with a gaze from a tall purple haired male with a galaxy patterned cape.

He yelled something at me.

Then a fist hit my cheek.

"O-ow!" I stuttered through the tears falling from my eyes.

The annoying astronaut continued to yell at me. I tuned him out as I had already looked over the script for this bit.

It was just some motivational speech then he self proclaims me as his side kick.

I lifted a hand up to my hand and pressed down on the cheek that had previously been punched.

"Stupid astronaut. It doesn't actually hurt that bad. He's weaker then he looks." I thought, looking back up to the tall purple haired male in front of me.

There are some other people yelling at him for punching me, but he looked like he was about done with his speech.

He walked away with a smile on his face towards where the elevator is.

People followed is his example and walked towards the elevator as well.

I glanced over to Kokichi, who was standing not that far away.

He gave me a smile, blew a kiss at me, then walked towards the elevator.

"I'll go to his dorm and talk to him later." I thought, smiling, wiping the tears from my face, then walking slowly towards the elevator myself.
