CHAPTER 28

"My fellow Americans! We have brought about such great changes in our world in such a short amount of time! Nuclear bombs have all been dismantled all across the world. We no longer need to fear a push of a button by a ruthless and uncaring person killing tens of thousands, possibly millions, of people. Tonight we can sleep better knowing we are safe from nuclear accidents and nuclear war. I am so proud of what we have accomplished!

The UN deal, which we all have read, by now I hope, keeps every country accountable for peace. Every country, by now you have seen one or two of these since they are going to be near every city of a population greater than five thousand people, will be installing special EMP equipment. These are not bombs that blow up and cause massive loss of life and damage to the environment like a nuclear device. They are harmless to a certain extent. I am sure the media has been telling you all about these things and basically how harmless they are.

They are only deterrents to keep countries from committing genocide or war. They are insurance policies that we uphold our end of the UN agreement and they are nothing to fear. No country will be able to set off another countries EMPs. It is not possible. The only ones that have control are the presidents or rulers of their own countries and the new UN committee that is headed up by President Unden himself. We are guaranteeing a safer world for years to come.

Tonight, I also have an announcement. For at least the next two years, we are seeking to bar any new children from being born. We must be responsible with the resources that we have. Those on life support with no hope of recovery, we are asking courts to intervene and the responsible course be taken with the resources that we have. Those that seek to end their own lives, to make room for others, for medical reasons, we applaud you. Not all states have made this legal yet, but we are working on it.

There is an 800 number you can call, if you are in a non-legal state, and there will be options given to you to help. Everyone deserves control over their own life and their own passing with dignity and respect. Abortion clinics have been granted approval for 24-7 schedules and support to help mothers-to-be to find alternatives to unwanted and, at this time, selfish pregnancies. The morning-after pills are being offered, for free, at every abortion clinic and most high schools. We are in this together, my fellow citizens; together we can build a stronger economy and a stronger country.

I need to address a concern that the FBI has brought to my attention. It is one you all have seen and heard recently, unless you have lived as a hermit, the different religious entities that have been protesting these changes necessary for us to rebuild. Some have been getting rather vocal and organizing protests. Violence will not be tolerated. Protests, while lawful and peaceful, will be tolerated for now, we need to all come to the table and discuss these things. If you continue to disrupt the advances towards a peaceful world, a more tolerant society, and a stronger country... you will face consequences for your choices. I invite you to come talk to your government officials. Let's sit and talk about how we can come to peace within our borders. We will listen and will help you see that we can come to a mutually beneficial resolution.

I know and understand that this is not comfortable. Change is never comfortable. I have made all government positions take salary cuts from the mayors all the way up to my position as President. We will not live high on the hog while our people suffer. We will no longer have benefits different than the average citizens. Our healthcare will be your healthcare. If they want better healthcare, they will have to make everyone's better. They are now drafting legislation that makes healthcare free or more affordable for everyone. It only took one day for them to realize that they had it good while you did not.

I ask for your patience as we work things out. We will have some pains and will have to figure out how things are going to work themselves out. We can do it. We will do it...together. Thank you for your time."
