Chapter 4: Panicked

Sapnap ended his stream 10 minutes ago. Punz was beginning to think he wasn't going to call like he had asked. He started thinking that maybe he did push Sapnap too far. Maybe he should just stop all together and keep it strictly friendly with Sapnap from now on. The last thing he'd want to do is make Sapnap severely uncomfortable to the point of losing him as a friend. The ringing from his computer interrupted his thoughts.

Sapnap did call! Punz just spiraled with his emotions for no reason. He was happy Sapnap listened to him, despite taking longer than Punz liked. He decided to not ask what took him so long since whatever it is their doing is new to both of them. Punz answered the call.

"Good job following my instructions. I'm proud of you," Punz made sure that his tone had no hints of mocking. He wanted Sapnap to know he was serious, and not making fun of the situation.

"It's just a phone call, we talk on the phone all the time," Sapnap mumbled.

"Okay then let's switch it up, turn on your camera," When giving the order Punz changed his voice to stern. He wanted to see how well Sapnap would listen.

"I-um-why?" Sapnap was confused. He almost did it right away, reach up and turn his camera on, but then he got self conscious. Maybe he didn't want Punz to see him, maybe he was uglier now than Punz last remembered. He also did not want to look stupid by being nervous or showing a reaction to what Punz says.

"Did I not already say? I want to see your pretty face Sap," Punz wanted to sound slightly annoyed that Sapnap did not do what he was told. He wasn't actually annoyed, he just wanted to see if Sapnap would react to a very small amount of dominance.

Sapnap took a while to respond to Punz. It was now that Punz really wished he already had his camera on, he needed to see how he was reacting, what he was doing that caused him to pause. It was a few more moments that felt like ages before Sapnap finally spoke in a small voice that Punz had never heard come from Sapnap before.

"Um, would it be okay- would you want to - could we-" Sapnap could not seem to get his thoughts out.

"It's okay Sap, you can say it," Punz wanted to know what was so important that it was causing Sapnap to not turn on his camera.

When he spoke it was barely a whisper, so soft that Punz could have missed it if he wasn't so captivated by all things Sapnap right now, "I was just wondering if you could turn your camera on too," His voice was so timid too, Punz felt like laughing and crying at the same time. How can Sapnap be that fucking adorable?

"Yeah of course I can." Punz reached up to turn his camera on. He figured Sapnap wouldn't do it until he saw Punz followed through with it. He pressed the button and then leaned back in his seat, he watched his camera load into discord and then saw his own face appear, "Your turn."

Sapnap had never felt more bashful in his life. First Punz called him pretty again, which hearing it come from his mouth was something Sapnap never knew he needed. It took him so long to gather himself after that. Then he could hardly get out his request. He knew he wanted to follow the order but he also really wanted to see Punz too. He struggled asking because he knew it was delaying him from doing what Punz wanted and the last thing he wanted to do was make Punz upset. And now, Sapnap could see him and he needed a moment to gather himself all over again. Punz was wearing a white crew neck shirt and black joggers. He was leaned back in his chair, his elbows were on the armrests and his hands were interlocked against his body. Sapnap could not even ignore how insanely attractive he looked. It made Sapnap look down at himself and wonder if what he was wearing was nice enough, if he even looked okay.

He did not want to delay any more though so he reluctantly turned on his camera too. He immediately looked down and started playing with his fingers in his lap.
