Chapter 9: Dazed

They were all in the car on the way to the airport. Sapnap barely got any sleep last night. He just kept tossing and turning in his bed. He was too nervous to do anything. He took an extra long shower this morning, it was the only time he was semi relaxed. Dream and George basically forced food down his throat, even then he didn't eat much.

    He got two texts from Punz this morning, one was just a 'good morning' text. The second one was Punz telling him that he was boarding his plane around 9 am. He also received a snapchat from Punz. Again it was a mirror selfie but this time he had all his clothes on. He was just as breathtaking. He was wearing a light blue sweatshirt and jogger sweatpants. Sapnap was assuming he got the photo so he knew what Punz would be wearing at the airport. He debated sending one back before he decided against it, how would Punz be able to miss him, Dream and George?

    That brought them to now. He was in the passenger's seat of his own car. He was too distracted and nervous to focus on driving. Dream saw this and took the keys from his hand when he was walking out the front door. George was in the backseat, behind Dream. Sapnap was fidgeting with his fingers while his right leg was shaking from constantly bouncing his foot up and down.

    George reached forward from the backseat and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder, "Why are you so stressed? It's just Punz." George wondered.

    "Yeah I know it's just Punz," He sounded a bit annoyed and then felt bad about it, "Sorry."

    Dream laughed, "It's going to be alright, Punz is going to love you."

    "Don't say it like that," He glared at Dream.

    Dream held up his hands in surrender for a brief moment before returning them to the steering wheel. Dream looked over and smiled at him, it made Sapnap feel a little better, "Seriously though, you have nothing to worry about. We're all going to be there, it's going to be great."

    "Yeah okay. Seriously thank you both for coming with me, sorry I'm being a dick," Sapnap looked from Dream to George.

    "Of course, meeting any of our friends is an exciting time," George brushed off his apology. They all knew Sapnap was just emotional right now.

After a little while, Dream pulled up to the airport. This time they parked in the parking lot. He knew that Sapnap needed their help in the airport. He also had a fear that Sapnap was going to pass out if he went alone. Five minutes after parking, Sapnap was still just staring out the window.

"Hey Nick, are you ready to go in?" Dream broke him out of his trance. He seemed to just realize where they were.    

"Oh yeah, I guess so," Sapnap said while finally opening his car door. He rubbed his hands on the sides of his pants. He took a deep breath and tried to slow down his heart rate. Dream came around the car and slung his arm over Sapnap's shoulders when he got next to him.

    "Let's go get your boy Nick," Dream was really cheerful. George laughed from the other side of him.

    "Not my boy," He murmured but didn't have the effort at the moment to completely argue. He was more focused on not throwing up. The three of them walked into the airport. They were still a few minutes early but he sent Punz a text. We just got here. We're waiting at baggage claim.

    They waited together for a few more minutes. Sapnap was scuffing his feet constantly, he couldn't stand still. After five minutes his phone vibrated. Okay! My plane just landed. Was what Punz said. Out of instinct he reached out and grabbed Dream's forearm. Dream looked down at him.

    "You alright?" He reached with his other hand to cover the hand Sapnap had on his arm.

    "H-He, he's here," Sapnap was breathless, he could barely get out those few words. George came closer and put his hand on Sapnap's back.
