The morning of George's arrival could not have been more exciting. There was a certain energy in the air that Sapnap had could only equate to the feeling kids get on Christmas morning. Both he and Dream woke up much earlier than normal, unable to sleep because of their anticipation. George's flight wasn't even supposed to land until 7 tonight.
Dream of course was obsessing over getting rid of every piece of dust they could have missed. He needed things to be absolutely perfect for his beloved George. As much as Sapnap wanted to make fun of his antics, he did find it somewhat cute. Dream actually seemed nervous to be meeting George, who he's known for more than five years.
Sapnap finally did speak up after watching Dream move around the centerpiece on the counter for 10 minutes, "You know, George isn't going to automatically start hating you just because there's one spec of dust flying around. Or if the centerpiece is not in the exact center of the counter. Maybe at this point you should bring out a ruler and mathematically calculate where the center would be." His tone was very light and teasing.
Dream thought about it for a minute, "Actually that's not a bad idea, I think I have a ruler somewhere in my room," He went to leave and get it.
Sapnap stopped him, "Dream! I was joking, you need to chill out dude. Everything is great, we already made sure of that."
He heard Dream sigh and saw him drag his hands down his face, "I know, you're right. If I stop being busy for one second though I think about how George is going to be here tonight. I think of walking into the kitchen or living room and just seeing him there. I get so nervous, I don't know why. So I've been obsessing over keeping busy to not think about it."
Sapnap felt bad but he couldn't hold back a chuckle, he just found it cute. "Dream you're nervous because you're into him. Seriously just relax, it's George, he basically adores you and at the very least he's a chill guy. If you wanna get your mind off of it we can play a game or watch something." He considered ending it there but figured he would throw in something that would definitely distract him, "We could watch some porn together again."
Dream laughed, his loud boisterous laugh, "No, no way, we're still getting shit from the last time we did that."
"Yeah, let's actually never do that again."
Instead they decided to play some mario kart using controllers on the tv. Definitely not a game they would normally play, both of them did first want to play minecraft but when they thought about it, neither wanted to be alone in their room. Even if they would have been on call, they'd rather spend time with one another.
"I'm going to go make some food, do you want some?" Sapnap asked after they had been playing for a few hours. It was now almost 4 pm, they had to leave in 2 hours for the airport.
"No I'm alright thanks," Dream gave a weak smile, "I think if I eat something I could throw it up."
Sapnap felt bad for him. He just wanted to take his friends' worries away. He knew that Dream had nothing to be nervous about, but he also knew convincing him of that was not going to happen. If he was in Dream's position he'd probably be just as nervous, or worse. So he didn't comment on it, just offered him a small smile and walked into the kitchen.
He realized when he got to the kitchen that he wasn't in the mood to cook something elaborate. He took out the necessary ingredients to make a simple sandwich. As he was finishing putting it together his phone vibrated. He looked down to see what the notification was. Punz went live, the notification from Twitch was displayed on his lock screen.
Now he felt bad. He'd been so busy the past 10 days that he hadn't talked to Punz really. They texted a few times about a week ago but nothing significant, if anything it was so insignificant that it made him concerned. He knew he should try and make plans with Punz soon but the last time they texted it seemed rather odd. They both were sending very short responses. Sapnap got worried that Punz didn't want to talk to him so he left him alone. Thinking of it made him unsettled, he didn't know if he did something wrong. If during their last call he made Punz not want to speak to him anymore. Or maybe it was just his panic attack that scared Punz away. Either way he knew he should reach out soon. He didn't have time right now though because in less than a couple hours he and Dream would be at the airport.
