Chapter 1: Nightmare

%^~this is the night where Arthur had brought Tessia to her  home ~^%

~Arthur Pov~

I was in my room thinking what Tessia'S grand father said. Its about midnight now. Thinking what does elder virion mean by beast will. And still skeptical about being his disciple. Thinking back on beast will. So this what Sylvia gave to me. I wonder what happened to her.

As my mind thought of many possibilities in what happened to Sylvia after she pushed me in the dimensional rift.

'She might have survived. She might have escaped from her enemy. She might be captured. She might need my help right now'. I shook my head and slapped  both my cheeks.
Causing a sharp sound that echoed in my room.

I sighed looking at my hands. Promising to myself that if I found that thing that is after Sylvia. 'I will make sure to kill him with my own hands I promise'. But first I'll have to talk to my family. Telling them that I survived the cliff and im alive and well is my top priority right now.

I shrugged walking to my bed about to tuck myself under the blankets when I heard a scream..

"Tess" I ran outside following the scream. As I reached near her room. I heard someone hyperventilating. I didn't think much and just entered her room not even bothering to knock and head straight to her.

Tess in her night gown was holding her head while shaking as if she had a nightmare or remembered something traumatic, which I'm sure is.

"Tess it's okay I'm here now nothing bad will happen to you again" I comforted her trying to make her calm down.
She looked at me tears in her eyes as she propel her body to me hugging me as if its the end of the world.

"You're gonna be okay tess I'm here now" I hugged her back, patting her back and head  as she cried in my arms. A second later Tessia'S parents and elder virion entered her room their faces flustered as they looked at me with tess in my arms.

After a few minutes Tessia has calmed down a little, letting me go as her face flushed in both from embarrassment and from crying. Giving me a shy smile as she sit down on her bed now facing her parents who is asking if she's okay and hugging her. I gave my own sad smile, as I stepped away from her. Standing beside elder virion at the end of  her bed.

"Tessia always had nightmares like this on our way here" I informed elder virion who was looking at her grand daughter with sad eyes, then looked at me with a grateful smile. Patting my shoulders. "Thanks for taking care of her Arthur, now you must be tired I'll take you to your room".

I nodded at him as we started making our way out of her room when I was stopped by tess calling my name. I looked back at her  but was startled as she heads to me  and  took my hands stopping me from moving a step away from her.

"What is it tess" I asked since she didn't say anything but kept standing there holding my hands which is pretty much making me uncomfortable since her father is glaring at our intertwined hands that says I will chop his hands off.

Tessia hesitated for a minute as she opened and closed her mouth. This happened a few times. "hmm" I tilted my head slightly. She took a deep breath.

"Art can you stay here with me tonight" she asked looking at our intertwined hands as if it's the most interesting thing in the world.

I coughed slightly not expecting her to ask me that, taking a glance to her parents her father is shaking his head at me. Since he saw my eyes that is asking them for permission. "tess you have your family here with you now they will accompany you, and they will make sure that nothing bad ever happens to you" I said while slightly shaking her hands.

"just for tonight please" eyes pleading making her face look pitiful that you cant say no to.

I scratched my cheeks. Glancing at her parents. Who was looking at each other then gave a slight nod to me. I looked at tess again. "How about I stay here with you until you fall asleep. By the time your asleep I will go back to my room then.. will that be okay for you? "

She nodded while pulling me to her bed. I'm not comfortable enough to sit in the bed while waiting for her to fall asleep since I'm pretty sure that gramps here will murder me before I even start my training with him. So I took one of the chairs in her room and put it beside her bed sitting on it before tess could even pull me to her bed. She pouted at that her lower lip puckering. I only chuckled at that.

Tucking her under her blanket like a mother would do to her baby to put them to sleep. I then waited for her to close her eyes which she did thank gods but opened it 5 seconds later. Then looked at me sleepily.

"Art will you promise me that when you found someone in the same position as me a few days ago." She paused. "that you will help them and make sure they made it back home to their families."

I looked at her with determination in my eyes holding her pinky "I promise I will save them, when I got more older and stronger and have a high position that I will make sure no one and I mean it,  no one in this continent will suffer the same way you just did humans, elves and dwarves alike."

She smiled at me and mumbled a small thank you before dozing off to sleep. I smiled again and wait for a few minutes before standing up making sure not to wake her up again. Looking at the doorway I froze as I saw Tessias family staring at me with surprised look in their eyes. I blushed hard and look away staring out the window seeing the moon shining brightly past her window curtains .

Before looking at them again elder virion in particular. Walked to him and bowed. "I look forward to training with you master, please take care of me"
