Chapter 50

Bairon Wykes starts to make his way to Arthur with Tessia behind his back. Sylvie who also remembered the mana signature woke up in surprise as she changed her appearance back to a black-like lizard. While getting ready to attack.

As Bairon finally reached them. His glaring eyes suddenly softened a bit. As he raised his hand for a handshake. Arthur know that being enemies with a strong man won't end well in both sides.

"We never properly introduced ourselves to each other. My name is Bairon Wykes. First son of the Wykes House." He introduced himself not sounding arrogant or conceited. Just a normal introduction.

Arthur stood confused but he did accept his hand. As he nodded at him.

Bairon led him up the second floor and Bairon ordered some alcohol. Tessia was looking at Arthur worriedly. Arthur noticing her gaze only nodded while whispering to go along with it. Sylvie kyud before jumping out of his jacket and going inside tessia's.

Arthur who played along his tricks didn't realise that Bairon is being genuine. The reason why Bairon ended up in Dragospine Inn is because he wanted to take his anger out on Lucas for a bit in the Beast Glades and he just stumbled upon the tavern.

Bairon even apologised as he was running on emotion back then after seeing his brother injured without knowing the reason why people tried to kill him. Bairon know what Lucas’s real personality is. He didn't expect that he'll use his allies as sheild to save his sorry ass.

In Bairons drunken phase he said something that  Arthur doesn't care much to be honest. But is still curious enough to stay by the drunken man. He said something about how their father has changed the future heir of the Wykes House to his brother. Reasoning how a goody like Bairon can never get the Wykes House to the top. And to just focus on his lance duties.

"C-can you believe that guy" Bairon sputtered out as he emptied another bottle of alcohol. He then stared intently at Arthur who was only drinking sips of alcohol. Tessia not wanting to hear so much of Bairons blabbering changed seat to a another table far from them but Arthur could still see her clearly.

"Note, why are you so small." He grumbled as he took away the cup of alcohol from his hands. "Is alcohol even a beverage you can drink brat"

"Oi that was rude, as far as I know I'm older than you" Arthur replied playing along as he acted drunk on purpose.

"Then why are you so small, you didn't even reach my armpit" He started to ruffle his hair while laughing. Which deeply annoyed Arthur as he slapped his hands away.

Bairon started to get himself comfortable on the floor in which Arthur wouldn't allow to happen. As he called on a waitress to lead him to an unoccupied room. Arthur threw him in the bed harshly as the drunk man was so heavy.

Bairon grumbled out some curses and Arthur looked at the waitress and Tessia who looked somehow relieved that the lance is now unconscious.

As Arthur paid for Bairons alcohol and bed. Arthur left a note stating that he owe him something again next time for the money he paid.

Arthur's evil thoughts about Bairon lessened as Bairon at least know the meaning of equality. And he even apologised for Lucas’s mistake. Bairon said something that he will visit Xyrus Academy to warn him about his behaviour. Bairon is not as bad as he thought he was probably.
