The Auction House was a magnificent theatre in the shape of a half-cylinder, adorned and supported by intricately detailed stone sculptures of different weapons. The main doors—over twelve feet in height, made of petrified wood carved with a series of simple yet elegant symbols—were far more complicated and grand than the naturalistic and elegant designs I had seen in the elf kingdom.
"So Arthur what to do you think of our Helstea Auction House." Tabitha whispered beside me as to not draw attention from the workers and guards.
"I think your seriously downplaying the word house here aunt Tabitha."
"Well I'm glad you like it." she said with her head up high. Mother laughed since she remembered herself saying the same thing the first time she saw the Auction House.
"Wait till you see the private viewing rooms at the top" Lilia said kneading my shoulders. "Arthur your it" she laughed as she told Ellie to run.
"That's not fair you got a head start". I ran after them. Lilia and me has gotten a lot closer these past few months. I'm glad she's being playful today since I overheard dad and Vincent's talk about the royal family coming to the auction house. Now Arthur be an actor and act like a child. Well physically I am a child.
Seeing how grand this place is I'm excited to see what sort of items they're going to auction today.
* Third person POV
"OK children we are expecting some very special guests later, but for now make yourselves comfortable". Tabitha cheered with lilia and Ellie doing the same as they put their arms in the air.
"Look Ellie, Arthur its starting". Lilia beckons leaning her hands against the glass overlooking the Auction House.
"woah so many people" Ellie then started to count the number of people entering the entrance.
"What are you kids up to" Tabitha asked as she sat in the couch Alice followed soon after with drinks in both their hands. "Ellie is trying to count people coming in."
"Oh kids there is another couch in the far side of the room, those couches are for our guests" Tabitha said noticing lilia and Ellie ruining the covers of the expensive couch.
Seems like they are having fun Arthur thought as Alice and Tabitha gossips in the couch. While Ellie and lilia are playing pokpok, an advanced hand clapping game.
An attendant then spoke to Tabitha
" Excuse me for the intrusion Madam Helstea, but I'd like to inform you that the VIP guest have arrived and will be here soon."
"I understand cmon kids let's show our guest your proper manners."
Time passed slowly until Vincent came back, leading a group of people inside. The royal family of Sapin. King Blaine Glayder, The Queen Priscilla Glayder, Prince Curtis Glayder, and the Princess Kathlyn Glayder.
Tabitha and Alice along with Lilia spun towards him and dropped to one knee genuflecting. Arthur caught on and lowered himself a moment later. Ellie looking confused sat on the ground beside them.
“I didn’t know we would be in here with guests, Vincent,” he said in a carefully neutral voice.
“I apologize, Your Majesty! I assumed you wouldn’t mind having a few other people with you. You remember my wife, Tabitha, and my daughter, lilia” he said, waving his arm in our direction. “King Blaine, Queen Priscilla, may I present my close friends Alice and Reynolds Leywin, and their children, Arthur and Eleanor.” Arthur's back stiffened 'so this guy is what gramps warned me to be careful'. Arthur looks up at the supposed to be king of Sapin. With just one look Arthur could already tell that he is the greedy type of man.
