The tension in the room felt almost suffocating. Even with most of the people in this room being former allies and teammates, it seemed nobody had anything to share or say.
Nightwing kept glaring at me. Something to be expected, and a gaze that I returned beneath the helmet... First he kills Grayson, and then he wears his suit as some sick, twisted trophy?
Barbra and Starfire would be sick to their stomachs...
Catwoman, Selina Kyle, was the one to break the silence. She placed a map onto the table and opened it. On said map, there were various red dots.
"Thanks to Flash's recon, we have the locations for every ship in Brainiac's fleet. They seem to be targeting major cities on every continent..." Selina informed.
As if he already knew what she was going to plan out, Bruce let the table and instructed Firestorm to follow behind. Most likely to lecture him on nearly nuking the place.
"We have to evacuate these cities before attacking the fleet. But first, we need communications back. Before we get started, Cyborg needs to repair Brother Eye."
"I am not Bat-tech support." Cyborg stated.
"That's not the issue, Victor." The voice of Kal-El called out from behind. Turning around to see him, my eyes widened and my heart stopped...
As soon as I saw the blue suit and red cape, my mind immediately began to turn against me... echoing, scratching, screaming at me to take action...
'Kill Him.'
'Kill Him.'
'Kill Him.'
Memories of my time as Red Robin flooded my vision... When I was captured and tortured... When he killed me...
When I grasped my thoughts, I realized I was also grasping my knife... I let it go. I'd rather not make a scene... Yet.
"I saw first hand what Brainiac did to destroy Krypton. We have at least forty eight hours until he destroys Earth.." Kara informed the league.
"Without tight coordination, we will loose valuable time."
"That means we have to fix Brother eye." Superman finished. Cyborg groaned, making me feel the need to say something.
"This isn't about sides. Insurgency or Regime, We have to protect the planet. If you're going to whine about it, then I'll remove your vocal cords." I stated. Cyborg turned to me with a glare. One that I shook my head towards.
"You were a hero. A former member of the Titans and Member of the Justice league. Act like it."
"...Just give me the coordinates. I'll open a portal and boom-tube in." Cyborg stated, hitting his fist against the table.
"You can't. I reverse enginereed your armors mother box technology. You'll need Harley and Selina to get into the Batcave." Bruce informed.
"So then how do we get in?" Cyborg asked, growing more annoyed by the second.
"The old Arkham underground. There's a tunnel entrance under Arkham."
"I'm taking you two to Arkham Asylum?" Cyborg asked. Harley nodded happily, blowing some bubblegum.
"I'll try not to make it awkward. Promise" Harley grinned.
"I'll need a few hours at the Solarium in the Fortress of Solitude... Assuming Bruce hadn't torn it down." Superman sneered.
"Not yet."
"Damian. Adam. You're both with me." Superman finished. Nightwing and Black Adam then both stood up to help Superman get to the Fortress of Solitude.
"What of the rest of us? We can't just sit here!" Wonder Woman shouted as she stood up from the table.
"We plan our attack. Once Brother eye is online, we mobilize to take him down. Remember. Out there, there is no Regime. Not anymore. So we do. Not. Kill. Now let's go." Bruce stated.
"Kara, you're with me." Diana stated, taking Supergirl by the hand.
The sight of the two of them together reminded me of what Kara was saying back at Stryker's prison... That Black Adam and Wonder Woman were giving Kara the wrong idea as to what was going on...
"I'm coming with. You both need someone to keep you two in line." I spoke up, making the two women turn towards me. "Bruce. Mind if I take one of your cars?"
Bruce didn't respond. Instead, he gave me the Bat Glare. A gaze that I grown used to in my previous life...
"Fine. I'll improvise" I stated, walking past Kara and Diana...
Leaving Kal-El and Bruce Wayne at the table...
...
...
..."Why'd you keep it?" Ka-El asked.
"Keep what?"
With a simple gesture, Superman removed the sheet that covered the table... revealing the symbol of the Justice League. One with a giant crack in it...
"... Forgot it was there." Bruce stated, leaving Kal alone with the table...
