Arkham stood between Batman and Superman as their sides began to group up. Even with Brainiac down, the earth was not yet saved… A fact that had been glossed over by the supposed heroes of the world…
“First Krypton, now Earth? How many other worlds must suffer this?” Diana asked, holding Superman by his arm to help him up. As her words reached them, they wrapped around his consciousness with a vice-like grip. Tight enough for him to know what he had to do… Narrowing his eyes, he slowly approached the defeated villain, only for Batman to stand before him, resuming the civil war… further growing the Arkham Knight’s wrath in the process.
“Clark, even if I agreed that he should die, you can’t. We need him alive to save the rest of our cities.”
“... No. No we don’t. With more time, and Cyborg’s help, the ship will obey me.”
“Or we could lose more cities. Lose more than what had already been taken from us.”
“Bruce is right.” Flash agreed, stepping in beside Batman. “We can’t be sure”
“What we can be sure of is that Brainiac puts everyone at risk!” Arthur countered, standing beside Superman.
“This is no different than Joker. If you killed him, we might have-”
“It was never that simple, Diana.” Bruce cut her off.
All the arguing and fighting between the heroes slowly began to fade out into nothing in the Knight’s head… Nothing but rage, hatred, the thirst for vengeance filled and ran through his veins… While the heroes wasted time bickering amongst themselves, innocent people were being harmed and maybe even killed back on earth… They were arguing over the Skullship like it was just some toy…
They aren’t heroes… Not anymore. Not while they fight with each other when innocent people are in distress.
These thoughts of rage fueled his mind until the room was taken by an even more demanding silence as Superman knelt before Batman, who held a golden kryptonite knife in his hand..
Superman held his bleeding wound, wincing as Bruce explained that the golden kryptonite that Firestorm created weakens and dampens a kryptonian’s powers. Over exposure would permanently remove their powers…
“This madness has to end, Bruce…” Superman grunted, standing up as Batman armed himself…
Before Arkham could step in, Kara placed her hand onto his shoulder to hold him back, fearing what would happen if he got caught in between the two…
The two titans charged at each other, catching each other in a firm deathlock. They struggled against each other for what felt like forever, up until Superman had managed to twist Batman’s arm and force him to drop the kryptonite knife. Noticing this, Wonder Woman tried to move out to grab it. Batman had managed to use his foot to sweep it away from her grasp, but it had managed to have met the grasp of the Arkham Knight, who managed to take it. Now he was armed with two kryptonite blades…
Kara let Arkham go for a brief second and tried to stop Superman, who now held Batman by the neck.
“Kal, stop! You don’t want to do this!” She pleaded. Superman glared at his cousin and tried to break free from her grasp, up until Hal Jordan tackled him from behind and made them both crash onto the ground.
“Stop Clark, this is over!” Hal demanded. Kara backed him up while Flash tried to apprehend Wonder Woman, who broke free by ramming her elbow into his jaw. Black Adam snuck up from behind and grabbed Kara, restraining her as Green Lantern challenged Superman and Aquaman challenged Batman…
Arkham watched from a short distance as each hero and villain fought…Humans, Kings, Gods, all of them fought each other…
Such a sight made his grip on the knife tighten as his eyes narrowed… (YN) Wayne was gone. He was left lying in his grave… It was time for the Arkham Knight to end this Injustice.
Superman and Green Lantern violently wrestled against each other, struggling against each other as Superman threw Hal, and Hal hit Clark with a light construct. Eventually, the two power houses knocked each other out of the skullship and down toward the city of Gotham, the very city that we were above… They will be dealt with shortly.
As Batman and Aquaman both struggled against each other, Arkham decided to handle Black Adam first. And so, with his training as Robin, he was easily able to sneak up behind Adam and hit him in the back of the head with his gun, pistol whipping the villain and freeing Kara, who turned around and punched Black Adam back. With Kara now free, Arkham then ran toward Batman and Aquaman, firing several rounds at the both of them. Arther’s bulletproof body prevented the several bullets from doing any serious damage, but it did as it was intended. Moving Batman out of his way.
Arther used his trident to block the incoming attack and attempted to slash at Arkham, only to narrowly miss as Arkham used his feet to kick and sweep the king off his feet. Now that he had been made stronger with the venom now in his systems, he was able to handle Aquaman. Batman tried to stop Arkham, but it was to late…
Arkham had ripped the trident from Aquaman’s grasp and stabbed him in the leg, taking him out of the fight for good. Batman's eyes widened as Aquaman fell to one knee, shouting out in pain as Arkhan held the weapon firmly before letting the weapon go. As he tried to move to take care of Flash and Wonder Woman, Batman reeled back and threw a punch at the boy…
This punch wasn't like your typical hit… It was strong enough to crack and damage Arkham's helmet. If he didn't have the Venom, (YN) would have been knocked out by the one blow…
Batman hit (YN) harder than he had ever hit Two Face, Bane, or even the Joker…
Arkham stumbled back, his helmet now glowing a dangerous red as he growled and narrowed his eyes toward the man he once knew as a father. The two stared each other down, almost as though they were in a standoff.
Arkham took out his pistol and fired several rounds toward the Flash and Wonder Woman, causing the two to separate while Batman ran in and threw several smoke bombs.
Arkham caught one with his bare hand and threw it back at Batman, making him land and crash his fist into the ground. The Dark Knight blocked the boot that nearly made contact with his face and used the sudden attack to punch Arkham in the stomach. With the Venom in his system, Arkham grabbed his father by the arm and nearly tore the gauntlet off, throwing the crusader aside as he tried to leave the smoke. Batman still had his cowl intact, meaning he would be able to see in the smoke…
Arkham leaped out of the smoke and landed a kick to Black Adam's chest, knocking him back and freeing Kara from the struggle.
"Thanks.. Wait, are you okay?" Kara asked, landing beside the boy, analyzing his broken helmet.
"It'll be fine. For now, we have to get to Clark and Hal Jordan. Even a Green Lantern can't beat Superman on his own." Arkham informed her. Kara nodded, carrying (YN) and flying out of the skullship to where Hal and Kal-El may be…
All while Batman watched, narrowing his eyes as he aided Arther and tended his wounds...
