You were sat at the park, playing with your friend Midoriya, both of you were sat in the sand, building things and laughing.

"Hey, (Y/N)?"

You looked up, Midoriya was slightly blushing.

"We'll always be friends, right? I never see you at school, only on the weekends..."

You grinned, and nodded your head, shuffling you sat next to him, patting his messy green hair.

"Of course we will! You're my best friend." You laughed, "I learn at the monastery!"

He laughed with you and nodded his head, suddenly, you heard your name being called.

Both of you turned around to face the three people at the gates of the park.

"Oh, the monks are here. Maybe mama and papa are busy! Sorry I have to go!"

You ran off, skipping to meet the three at the gate. They never smiled as you came over, making you frown a little as you stopped in front of you.

"Mr Hotoshi, what's going wrong?"

The youngest of the three knelt down, he placed a hand on your shoulder.

"I'm sorry (Y/N) but..."

His words made your smile fall, tears cloud your (E/C) eyes, your pointed ears drooped a little. The temperature all around dropped, and they're breaths turned to mist.

"N.. no...! T..they're going to be at home...!"

You yelled, Hotoshi pulled you into his chest, then picked you up. Your tears wouldn't stop, and you were carried from the park.

That was the last time you ever went there, you spent weeks locked up inside your room, snow raged all around it, covering everything in a thick white layer, a choking temperature that would freeze anyone not used to the cold.

When you finally came out, the weather had changed slightly, though soft snow still fell all around.

"Hey there kiddo." Hotoshi whispered as you padded into the main room.

Many monks stopped and looked up, before they quickly went back to what they were doing.

You never said a word, you simply walked to the front, kneeling in front of the fire you placed your hands in your laps and closed your eyes.

"(Y/N)?" Hotoshi asked quietly.

You never looked at him, you carried on. Taking deep and slow breaths. Hotoshi sighed, and copied you, doing the same thing.

Things changed after you found out your parents died, you locked yourself away behind many walls, you never smiled and threw yourself into meditation, training and studying.

Years slipped by, you grew and grew, your nubs turned into small antlers, your hair covered your ears so only the tips peaked out.

You looked at yourself in the mirror, reaching a hand up, you ran them over your antlers, brushing your hair back to see your ears. You were wearing the same trousers the monks wear, but a simple white shirt.

"You look like her you know."

You flicked your eyes up, Hotoshi was behind you smiling softly.

"Your mother, you look a lot like her. And you have your dads quirk."

"yeah..." you whispered.

You padded around him you headed outside. Grey clouds covered the sky, a thickish layer of snow covered the ground.

Your bare feet lightly walked over the snow, leaving no trace and not disturbing it one bit.

You made your way over to the large pit in the ground, the bottom was filled with warm water, and there was wooden poles sticking out from them, and even distance between them all.

With a small breath, you lightly jumped, landing on one, you carried on until you reached the middle, then you sat down, hands in your lap as you closed your eyes.

Everything became heightened, you could smell the fires inside, and the food cooking, you could feel the crisp air in your lungs, and hear the animals that lived in the mountain, the idle chatter of the monks as they wondered about, trained and studied.

You focused on the steps and voices approaching you.

"You can't do this, it's not fair!" Hotoshi whisper yelled.

"I'm sorry sir, but the government has stated that as a vulnerable young person, Miss (L/N) must attend UA high." A deep voice came.

"We can assure that she will be safe and receive the best education." A different one spoke, he sounded more bored.

"What about her?! Where will she live?! How will she eat?! Survive?!" Hotoshi yelled.

"Everything shall be provided by UA themselves." A higher voice spoke.

The steps stopped in front of the pit, you opened your eyes and turned to the monk who had raised you.

"I assume you heard all of that." He sighed.

You nodded, not moving from your spot.

"Hello Miss (L/N). I am Nezu, principle of UA, these are All Might, also known as Toshinori and Eraser head, also known as Aizawa."

You simply just looked at the little mammal, ears flicking slightly as you picked up on different sounds.

"The government as instructed that you need to come study under UA, as they believe you are a vulnerable young person, and you may be a target for villains. I'm afraid there isn't much choice here."

You nodded again, standing up you gracefully kept back, landing on the snow once more.

Something was dropped over you, you looked down and took it off, handing it back to All Might who frowned at you.

"Like the rest of us up here, (Y/N) is adapted to the cold. We don't need such measures."

Everyone nodded at the monk, Hotoshi turned to you.

"Shall we head inside?"

"I suppose..."

You made your way back into the monastery, you led them into a small warm room.

You sat on your knees, waiting for them to all sit down.

"Who will be watching over her?" Hotoshi asked.

"Well, we can have an apartment set up for her next to one of the teachers so they can look after her." Nezu explained.

"I'll be her homeroom teacher, so she can be set up besides me. It'll be easier and less hassle that way." Aizawa sighed.

They carried on talking things over before they all turned to you.

"Does this sound acceptable to you?" All Might asked.

"She isn't getting much of a choice here." Hotoshi growled.

They began to argue over this and you stood up, catching all of their attention making them go quiet.

You bowed to the three teachers then turned to Hotoshi.

"I suppose I have to go..." you muttered softly.

He stood up, reaching out he softly ruffled your hair, pulling you in for a hug.

"Is there anything that we need to take?" Aizawa asked.

"She mainly has books and scrolls, that's about it. A few sets of clothes, we don't go out, everything we have we make and grow ourselves. Come, I'll help you pack."

You trialed behind the monk, your gaze not once lifting from the floor as you once again found your world being torn apart
