He stared in shock, you took this time to walk closer until you were a few feet in front of him.
He blinked, and stuttered, frantically trying to put words together but it wasn't working.
"Breathe." You said softly, "just take a breath, then speak."
He nodded, taking a few deep breaths he composed himself.
"Everyone thinks you're missing.."
"I know."
"W.. what happened...?"
You smiled sadly, and explained the whole situation to him. It took a while, though you left a few things out, like seeing his past lives and such, but when you did tell him there was a small silence between the pair of you.
"I.. I don't understand.. does that mean you can't come back...?" He asked sadly.
"I'm sorry..."
There was a few steps, and strong arms wrapped around you. Your eyes widened slightly before you closed then, wrapping your arms around him.
His tears soaked your shoulder and the pair of you fell to the ground.
"I.. I don't want you to go.. I've only know you for a few months but I really admire you.."
Patting his back, you sighed softly. Swallowing the lump in your throat you spoke.
"I'm sorry Midoriya... I.. there's nothing I can do..."
"Stay...?" He asked softly.
Midoriya pulled away, a small blush on his cheeks as he wiped away his tears and took your hands into his scarred and callused ones.
"Don't go... please...?"
"Midoriya I can't... there no place for a god in a humans world."
"You still have one mortal life time, right? So you can stay, live a life like the rest of us, as a hero, I promise I won't tell anyone!"
You laughed lightly and smiled.
"I spent every one of my human lives with the same man you know, every life I somehow found him again."
Midoriya frowned a little, tilting his head in confusion.
"Why are you telling me this?"
"He was a lot like you. He cared for everyone, every life time he just wanted to help people, no matter what the world threw at him."
Midoriya blushed, averting his gaze in embarrassment.
"When I was out of control, you somehow got me to calm down for a little while. You think you'll never make it as a hero Midoriya, but you calmed down the fury of a god. I think you can become the best hero."
He looked at you sadly, crossing his legs, he still held your hands in his.
"I want you to become a hero with me..."
"I can't. It's not fair to use the power of the gods on humans."
"Then I want you to watch me become the best hero..."
"I will, from this mountain I'll watch you."
He shook his head, he didn't want to let you go. He wanted you to stay.
You looked at him, you could see his soul. Bright, warm, happy. No matter what he's been through it only made his soul brighter and that made you smile.
"The sun on a cold summers day..."
"What do you mean?"
"Your soul. It's the same as the warmth of the sun on a cold summers day."
He blinked in confusion making you laugh lightly again. Removing a hand from his, you brought it to his chest, and lightly placed it over his heart making him blush bright red.
"W.. what are you doing..?"
"Can you feel it?"
Warmth spread through it, it was that perfect temperature that let you sit outside when it was cold and play all day without needing to go warm up.
"I.. I do!"
You pulled away, and stood up, stuffing your hands into your pockets you looked up at the sun above you.
Your antlers slowly changed from pure white to a soft green, the vines grew little flowers on them.
"It's nearly spring.." you whispered.
You begun to walk away once more, but Midoriya wasn't giving up without a fight.
He ran over, taking your hand again to stop your from walking. He walked around to face you, his eyes full of determination.
"Stay (Y/N), please?" He begged, "I want to go through this life with you! I want to share everything with you! In your last mortal life I want you to spend it with me and everyone at UA!"
You stood there for a few minutes, his eyes welled with tears as he smiled weakly at you.
"I don't want to loose you again..."
Walking over you kissed his cheek, and softly pulled away.
"I'm sorry..."
With that, you turned back into a reindeer, this time brown fur covered your body and you walked away.
Midoriya let his tears fall as he headed back to the base of the mountain where everyone was waiting.
Aizawa saw his students teary face and walked over, bringing him in for a hug as he cried.
"I'm sorry kid. But she's gone." Aizawa sighed.
Truth be told, it hurt him as well, it hurt everyone that knew you. Your lack of presence left a huge hole in all their hearts
