You didn't want to enter the sports festival but Nezu and Aizawa both said you had no choice. You came 5th in the obstacle race and joined teams with Todoroki for the Calvary battle. However, you were on top since you were the lightest, you didn't need to use your quirk.
Now you were in the battles, stood in front of your first opponent, a random student from the support class.
"Not once have we seen her quirk, is (Y/N) (L/N) from the hero course!" Mic yelled.
Everyone cheered, and you opponent came to stand on the arena with you.
You sat down, ignoring mic even as he announced the start of the fight.
"Eh.. what's this?! (Y/N)s just sat on the ground?! Is she really that willing to be beat?!" Mic yelled.
"Don't underestimate her, Judy because she doesn't appear to be paying attention doesn't mean she can't win." Aizawa grumbled.
The was whispers from the crowd, I surely the other student approached you.
"A... are you not going to fight me...?" She whispered.
"I don't want too..." you mumbled.
Opening you eyes, you stood up and sighed, the air grew freezing, and frost started to cover the floor.
"What's this?! It's suddenly got really cold! Is this the quirk of the mysterious student from 1-A?!"
Padding forward, each step you took left ice form where you had just been, winds picked up.
"It's getting colder! I don't know how long we can stand this temperature yo!"
You walked over to the girl, kneeling down where she had fallen, you pat her head gently, he legs were frozen in ice leaving her stuck and tears brimmed her eyes.
"What?! Is (Y/N) comforting her opponent!"
"You did good..." you whispered.
She sniffled, wiping her tears with her palms as ice crawled up her body.
"Thank.. thank you...!" She cried.
"(Y/N) advances to the next round!" Might yelled.
The crowed cheered, and you frowned. Unfreezing her, you held out your hand and helped her up, patting her head one more time.
"Look at this sportsmanship! I've never seen Sure a pure display of team spirit!" Midnight cried.
With that, you walked away, heading back inside as you mediated in preparation for your next round.
Again, you didn't know the student you were facing.
"I hope we get to see more of that snow quirk! Start!" Mic yelled.
You turned around, and walked towards the line.
"Wait! Wait! Wait! Wait! Is (Y/N) giving up?!" Mic roared.
Your foot stepped on the line, and you turned to midnight as she announced your loss in utter shock.
"But why?! She would've made it so far!" Someone yelled.
"Because she doesn't like being in the spotlight. She only made it this far because she had to." Aizawa said, "she doesn't enjoy fighting but she can and if she does she will win. Make no mistake, this girl has power."
Everyone went quiet as you left the arena. Nezu was waiting for you in the waiting room.
"That was quite spectacular."
You took the drink and followed him as you sipped it. He led you to where your class was and took the cup from you.
You sat in the back, and Mina jumped over to you, throwing herself in the seat besides you.
"That was amazing! Why did you give up?"
"Boring.."
"She got bored!" Kaminari laughed with some others.
From the lower seats, Midoriya looked at you. He knew that wasn't the real reason why you stopped, you stopped because you didn't want to take part, but like the rest of them you had too.
He pulled out his phone and sent a message to you.
Midoriya: why did you keep going even if you didn't want to?
You: I wanted to make the monks proud if they were watching...
Midoriya smiled a little and put his phone in his pocket. Turning around, his green eyes met yours before he turned away embarrassed.
Everyone had a reason for trying to make it, and yours was similar to his
