I Hear A Symphony

A long time ago there were two kingdom's at war. One kingdom wanted the other kingdom as its own. The other kingdom wanted nothing except to be left alone. They both fought valiantly, but the war was drawing to a close, and it was clear who the winner would be.

The kingdom who fought only to protect, not to conquer was stronger in the end. Their king was referred to as the Angel of Death in battle. He had more men to fight, he had more weapons.

The Angel of Death would win.

Everyone knew.

Even the King who led the opposite army.

He was also very strong, but he did not have enough weapons, and he did not have the numbers.

He was known as XD for short, his real name being long and strange and lost to time for XD was known to be immortal.

The people would say it was a hoax, that XD died a long time ago and that the immortality illusion was merely to strike fear into other's hearts.

XD was never seen, merely a shadow, a whisper.

XD knew he would not be victorious. He knew he would not win this war. He knew he wouldn't be safe in his Kingdom any longer.

He decided to disappear into the night....

But, before he could,

it was a cruel twist of fate that he caught wind of the birth of the Angel of Death's third son.

So, in anger and fury, he lashed out, he decided to take something from the King before he fled.

He put out a bounty for the death of the King's youngest son.

A bounty so large that many did not understand where he had received the money from, even as a King.

And the news spread like wildfire, across the world, not just to XD's kingdom, but to lands far away, to the corners of the Earth and it blew everyone away. The size of the reward for the death of someone so small.

Many people shied away from the news in disgust, many didn't. Many saw an opportunity.

Three raged beyond belief.

The Angel of Death, his two teenage sons.

As soon as he heard it, the Angel of Death flew straight to XD's castle, armor on and weapon in hand. Fueled with pure fury and rage. Ready to demand for XD to revoke the bounty before taking his life.

But XD was long gone, leaving nothing except a dark and empty castle and a kingdom of confused people.

He burned the castle to the ground, it wasn't enough. The news was out, the bounty hung in the air.

The young prince slept soundly in his crib, unaware of the sudden threat to his life.

And soon enough, the golden haired, happy boy, who had been introduced to the kingdom only weeks prior, disappeared into the castle behind closed doors, never to be seen.

The Angel of Death refused to let his son die, even if it was at the cost of his freedom.

When he heard his son's name all he could think about was how the same name was now known to everyone else. Many who probably wanted him dead.

Prince Theseus.

It made his heart clench in a painful way.

He did not like it. He wanted to rid his mind of anything related to that horrid bounty.
