it had been officially three weeks of lemon living in new york. to say she was happy would be a stretch. while she loved her job and her new friends, she felt like something was missing. she knew it was drew, but she would never admit she missed how he would send her everything he found funny on tiktok because he knew they had similar senses of humor, how he would take candid pictures of their friends and send them to her because he knew about her candid album on her phone, how he would send her a picture every time he saw chihuahua because he knew about the time she got attacked by one that made her dislike to the breed. she was too stubborn to admit that she missed him.
she was too stubborn to admit that drew was right, she loves him.
but now it was midnight and she was alone in her apartment deep into her wine cabinet. to say she was feeling the wine would be an understatement.

"dalty" lemon dragged out as she clicked the green button
"oh no lem" dalton said with a laugh, hearing as she slurred a bit "how much have you drank?"
"only two" she paused to drink some more "and a half bottles" she said, sighing from the long sip, chug even, she took
"well let's put it down now. i just got back from a road trip and i was just thinking how nice it would be to come home to you"
"dalton, i'm in new york"
"no i mean like when you are back. you should move in"
"move in" lemon was drunk before but now the room felt like it was really spinning. "we've been together for like-"

"yep" lemon could've sworn she's never hit that red button quicker. move in? she didn't even think past next week with dalton, she always just lived in the moment with him. she always saw a future, but not with him it was with a guy who was 6'2", brunette, nice abs, blue eyes.
drew, it was drew who she saw a future with. and that realization sobered her up more than any amount of water could.
