"i love you." billie told me with a soft smile as she gave my hand a gentle squeeze.

"i love you too, baby." i smiled back.

"y'all are gross," cleo commented. "cute... but gross."

"man, shut up." i kissed my teeth.

"yeah, go fuck gio or something." billie added, which made me laugh, while cleo's cheeks flushed.

it's now second semester. billie, cleo, and i had first block together. me and billie also have second, fourth, and fifth block together. me and cleo have third block together.

since christmas and when we said our i love you's, things between me and billie have been pretty smooth sailing. we've had maybe one or two arguments, but it was over small, stupid things.

for my birthday, i had spent the first half of the day with cleo. we had went to the mall and went shopping for some new clothes and shit.

then after that, i went to billie's. we hung out for a while before she took me out to a dinner date. she, unlike we agreed on, had gotten me several presents; she had gotten me one of those octopus stuffies that you can flip to change what emotion it shows, she had gotten me a chain with a large 'b' on it, as well as some of my favorite snacks.

since christmas, we had also traded our class rings, meaning i was wearing her class ring, and she was wearing mine.

unlike the small, dainty class rings that most girls at our school choose, she had gone for a more bulky one.

it was black, with small diamonds lining the sides of it. she had, of course, chosen her birthstone in the shape of a diamond for the gem. around the gem, our school name was inscribed. one side had 'billie' inscribed on it, while the other had '2020' the year she'll graduate, inscribed on it.

it's sexy as fuck.

"shut up." cleo tried to wave us off.

"nah." we both grinned.

she playfully rolled her eyes.

"honestly, you two needa hurry up and date." billie told her.

"maybe if he wasn't a player, i would." cleo shrugged.

"you've gotta point," billie sighed. "but i dunno, bro. i think he actually likes you, so you should at least give it a shot."

"a player will always be a player." cleo pointed out.

billie wrapped her arm around my shoulders. "not if the right person comes around."

"whatever. i dunno, i've thought about it a lot, but i don't really trust him."

"alright, let me introduce you to this class." the teacher announced loudly.

i let out a sigh as i put my books into my locker. it was now after third block.

i heard the lockers beside me rattle, so i turned to see who it was. my eyes widened a bit.

"oh, uh... hey, icsis." i greeted awkwardly.

"hey." she looked down at me as she leaned against the lockers.

"do you need something..?" i asked slowly as i looked around for a second.

"yeah, actually." she nodded.

i raised a brow, indicating for her to elaborate. i made sure to keep looking around as i did.

"why have you been ignoring me and ghosting me?" she questioned. "'cause i deadass haven't done anything for you to ghost me."
