"you're gonna get me in trouble." i giggled.

"you'll be fine," billie assured as she gave me a kiss. "i promise."

"don't make a promise you can't keep," i teased before placing my hand on her chest to push her back some. "i need to get back to work now, baby."

"one more kiss? please?" she pulled me close again.

"such a loser." i murmured as i gave her a final kiss.

"leave me alone." she scrunched her nose up.

"yeah, that's what i'm doing." i grinned before walking out of the bathroom.

she was quick to follow. "what time do you get off?"

"uhh," i thought for a moment. "in a few hours or something, i dunno."

"lemme know, ight?" she raised a brow as she held her hand out for a handshake that we had made up a couple of nights ago.

"yeah, of course." i told her as i did our handshake.

"alright. i love youuu," she dragged out. "see you later?"

"i love you too, and for sure." i smiled.

"okay, bye." she stepped back, blowing a kiss as she did.

"bye, angel." i pretended to catch the kiss.

i watched her leave before going behind the counter and getting back to work.

"you're lucky we're having a slow day and there's hardly anyone here." kacie commented.

"i know." i chuckled.

i watched as she raised her arms above her head to stretch.

"you haven't took your lunch break yet, have you?" she questioned.

"no, why?"

she nodded. "you should take your lunch break right now then."

"why..?" i laughed.

"dude, just do it." she snorted.

"okay, okay, sheesh."

i went and clocked out for my lunch break, then followed kacie. she grabbed her bag before leading me to the rooftop, which made me furrow my brows.

once we got to the rooftop, i noticed that there was a border around the roof. if we were to sit against it, nobody from outside of the building could see us.

"what are we doing up here?" i asked.

"here, sit down." she avoided my question as she sat down and leaned against the border.

i did so, still confused. i watched as she set her bag in front of her and grabbed something out of it. i soon realized that it was a blunt.

"you smoke?" she cocked a brow.

"i shouldn't..."

"lemme guess; your girlfriend doesn't like it?" she rolled her eyes.

"i mean... that too, but also because i don't wanna loose my damn job." i explained.

"i promise, dylan won't fire you. he literally doesn't give a shit. hell, he comes up and smokes with me sometimes." she snorted.

she lit the blunt and brought it to her lips to take a hit. "anyways, you need to stop constantly worrying about what your girlfriend would think."
